Murray was born in a time when nothing was known about it, so the severe cases were just re.tarded while the milder cases were labeled "learning disabled" or something similar. "Mild" Autism comes in 2 forms - Aspergers and Pervasive Developmental Disorder (both are "high functioning" but the main difference between the 2 is that Aspies generally don't make direct eye contact whereas PDDs are capable and usually can make direct eye contact to a degree.) Often Aspies and PDDs are misdiagnosed as one or the other, so a lot of people use it interchangeably. If you know nothing of PDD, usually people just call it "mild autism".

Had a brief stalk through some of Murray's fb contacts before he made them private. Found this on a "Neecie Darden Root". A possible longshot but the facial structure seems to somewhat match the only photo we have of him.
