in the screenshots shared earlier, he talks about how she won't let him have friends, but on his reddit he says he never had any, not even when he was 5, tried making some and no one liked him(and he didn't like anyone), so doesn't sound like she stopped him from having friends. In another he said she wouldn't let him go to therapy, but he says he didn't go because "they would neuter his personality" and he's against taking medication. He posts about video games, lsd, shrooms and weed all the time, but was mad she was playing games, when that's all he wants to do too and posts on antiwork. I only checked one of the accounts but the story is already inconsistent. Sounds like they were a good match.

seriously? Half his posts are whining that she's accusing him of cheating but he was cheating?? Everyone has been going after her for years and nitpicking every word and he's somehow a poor little guy who dindu nuffin, and we can believe everything he said. Bit late on the news but Grant Rodiek, one of the veteran Sims devs has announced that he's gonna leave EA. It should be noted that he briefly left EA in 2010 and returned in 2011, also that he was the Game Director for The Sims 5, so because of that possibly Sims 5 might have some setbacks in terms of direction, unless EA already found someone to replace him.



Another thing to note is that Grant himself is a very divisive figure in the Sims community due to the choices he made during the development of The Sims 4 and how he interacted with the community. One of the most "controversial" one was him choosing not to add dog houses in Sims 4's iteration of the pet expansion.




He also wanted to add disabilities to TS4, and to some degree TS4 team managed to do that
through adding hearing aid and glucose monitors along with the dreaded zippertits/top surgery scars
last year with one of their updates.

It looks like several recently posted TS4 mods include malware in it, which appears to be a keylogger. Since .ts4script files are written in Python, mods have always been prone to these types of attacks:

This sounds similar to a similar incident with Minecraft mods last year, where some mod creators were compromised, and their mods would have malware added to them.

Seems to be more EA's fault for designing the game that way. This will probably lead the next game to ban mods altogether. Good thing Sims 4 sucks thought. Sims 2 is still the best.

EA is sort of testing that out already, using the Curseforge collaboration as a testing ground for a curated system for mods. I can see Project Rene using a system like that for mods and CC, and allow CC creators to even sell mods and CC on the platform, and EA takes a cut out of each transaction.

Rebecah Benjamin, a well-known and respected Sims modder that made some technically impressive mods for Sims 2, passed away on January 11 2024 at 71 years old.

She also made the infamous Girl Doll Dressed mod, which due to a small mistake and EA's incompetence caused a ton of trouble with game file corruption, and got her tons of undeserved hate for something that was ultimately EA's fault.

I hate when creators use a vitiligo sim in their previews. When I'm scrolling through big content sites I get these all the time. I'm just scrolling along, minding my own business, and WHAM! Cowface is all I see, and a lot of times it takes me a minute to figure out what they're actually promoting.

It never looks like any vitiligo pattern I've seen, and it's almost always done in an aesthetically pleasing way-- the patterns are always balanced or laid out nicely. I can't figure out if they're doing it for asspats for using a disabled sim, or if they're trying to make some kind of exotic look.

They also seem to obsess over heterochromia, but it hasn't manifested itself quite so overtly from what I've seen.

it's like 1% of the population that has it but now every townie will be walking around with it. There's vitiligo mods for the sims 2 cause for some reason everyone is obsessed with it now, I only use it for my half alien half human sims though. Tons of the previews for sims 2 cc also use it now, but at least with sims 2 you won't get any townies spawning with it. It's gonna be all pear shaped disabled trannies in hijabs with vitiligo walking around in sims 4.

One of my general complaints of the sims community (in general, not only TS4 because this kind of people plagued all games) is how braindead is the community creativity speaking, eeeeeeeeevery sim creator, in the gallery, internet, TSR, everywhere, the same fucking sims always, a generic Kardashian look-alike, a generic yasss queen, a generic vitiligo big hips model, a generic latina-look alike with even more generic makeup...I can´t believe how braindead those girls are, because I assume the majority are girl simmers with the brain rotten by tiktok, seriously I miss the creativity in the community, I can´t believe that those cringy anime-inspired OC sims are rare these days, how I miss them, they are better than the flood of Kardashian clone sims...

Why is this fanbase seemingly more insane than others? The Sims was played by tons of people, now it seems like it's solely this. When did all the normal people leave?
