I am pretty sure Barneyfag (the original one) actually did write a bot to compare the rc5 hashes of posts with stuff he had in his database to be able to respond instantly to anything anywhere. This was the period when he rarely missed anything.

It's possible he's gotten a life since because most of the Barneyfag posts now are obvious fakes.

From what I remember, the moderators are scared that such a board would become a miniature Kiwifarms with doxxing. Which is pretty stupid because no one would really bother to dox on 4chan given its temporary nature and would probably just go here for dox.

As for board quality, it's very clear for /v/ atleast that low post quality is a feature and not a flaw given how even schizos like the vidyabutts poster who keeps posting that picture of AK-12 from Girl's Frontline have recognized that mods on /v/ are very slow to remove pornography that is aligned with their tastes e.g. raceplay.

I guess you guys don't spend a lot of time there anymore. Guys from /pol/ came over to /r9k/ to complain about it. The general consensus most of the site is astroturfed like reddit. With 4chan being little more than a pay-for-play marketing hub. Something like 30-50% real posters. /r9k/ is relatively okay in comparison since it still requires more human input instead of simply bot sliding.

I honestly don't think there is a single thing 4chan in 2024 has to offer that can't be found elsewhere. I mean shit if you can't even make fun of Indians without getting an off topic ban why even bother posting? Being able to be openly racist is about the only thing 4chan had left going for it without that it's no different then a site like reddit.
