It can be both true that America is fucking going to shit and is promoting buttseks and degeneracy, AND that Russia has invaded another sovereign nation and annexed parts of it like it's 1850.
"Both sides" seem incapable of accepting the good and bad of a person they love or hate. Saying Hitler had charisma implies I'm ok with the holocaust, apparently.
For Putin, propaganda is that Russia looks European (come on, all countries try to do that and hide the bad stuff, nobody's promoting their favelas as a touristic hotspot), but for America right now, the propaganda is troons, blacks, and buttsex. It's not like US doesn't have beautiful towns and cities that are functional, but the government seems to try to destroy this because they thing it's bad. Putin is not doing this. This is why one side looks saner than the other.
Because, ok, US has a much better economy... so? I can buy groceries and I get punched by a chimp on my way home?
Take this from someone who lives in the third world: we have violence, murder, drugs, et cetera, but the level of casual violence I see in America is not comparable. I know a thief would try to rob me, but we don't have packs of feral blacks casually punching people. Even in fucking Mexico the cartels will let you alone if you don't mess up with them.
But also heavy indoctrination from an early age by television and pop culture and the education system teaches people both to worship America as Numba One but also at the same time that America is the most evil nation with slavery and the Holocaust.
I'm particularly enjoying the mental gymnastics of the "MURICA WAS NEVER GREAAAT!" crowd about to win Olympic Gold because they just did a full triple jump into patriotism without sweating.
