Cause like every other psuedointellect online, they think they're the tastemakers. Considering one of his favorite films is about a hypochondriac making a play about his life, Adam just wants to be percieved as an intellect, and the movies he likes shows that.

EFFORT

For a lot of these critics who got their claim to fame putting actual work into their videos, they eventually devolved into this low-attention-span faggotry that is killing YouTube and making the internet even worse every day. Adam is appealing to the Tik Tok crowd when the critical thinking autists are the ones he should be making videos for.

To give credit where it is due, that is how YouTube works nowadays. I know, it sucks, but YouTube is for kids and low-attention-span autists now. If the thumbnail and title doesn't entice the viewer with "current thing" or "trending topic" then the viewer checks out.

Don't you just love YouTube? Doesn't this just give you every reason to keep watching videos?

In all reality, I think this is a fad. It'll go wayward and things will return to "normal" and maybe Adam will start producing actual effort videos again on a regular basis.

Personally, I hate the MST3K commentaries he does with his "Pals" because scooter is an obnoxious faggot who is obligated to continually undercut anything exceptional Adam might have to say about the films they're talking about. This is the main thing I don't get about Adam is he genuinely cares about the medium but its like he also doesn't want to appear like he cares too much. It's stupid.

Always annoyed me back when I watched YMS more often that this dude felt the need to interject is opinion on whatever Adum was talking about in the highlight. Like bro who the fuck are you and why should I care?

What's crazy is if you look at the views now compared to where they were four years ago, it's like night and day:

Of course, back then Adam could at least be seen to be actively producing long form content that required some degree of effort. The better part of the early highlight videos are stream editing highlights and typically linked to Kimba or the Lion King in some way.

Now it's all just low effort reaction content so I guess the drop in views is corresponding to the drop in YMS content quality. I honestly don't see this changing any time soon so the furry pervert will have to live with diminishing returns. Maybe now was a bad time to invest in that fursona :story:
