Porn Addiction Support Thread

Hope you can help me kiwis. I'm letting down myself and my fiancee.
Do it yourself. It'll keep you proud that way.

Some tips:
Easypeasy method (website/some guy on youtube reading it) for a mindset adjustment.

Do something else when you have a craving. Usually cravings happen because of feeling negative and wanting to feel better (porn also makes everything else feel worse so it's a feedback loop). So do something self-soothing like a deep double-breath in single breath out or idk 15 minutes of light cardio.

Figure something else out?

There's already a medicine out there that will give you the exact same dopamine rush you crave while massively reducing your urges to beat off to porn, but big pharma and the jewish-industrial sex trafficking industry don't want you to know about it.

Why don't we slide on over into my DMs and I'll tell you all about it.

One, figure out what the problem is. Are you cooming so much you don't want actual sex, are you bored as shit and just coom to fill the void, have you gone so far down the rabbit hole that your perception is all fucked up etc etc. I don't want you to PL, but just consider the details of your problem. And if you have any porn saved, get rid of it.
Two, find something else to do. Find a topic you like to read about, or a hobby you can work on, and fill your coom time with that instead. Physical activity is the best for that in my opinion, but just find something else to do and avoid porn.
Three, have actual sex with your actual fiancee. It's a no-brainer, save all that coom energy for her. Sex isn't just getting a nut in, it's supposed to be a sacred act of love between you two, and by cooming to porn you cheapen it. Even masturbation isn't the issue, that's fine, porn is the issue and the thing you must avoid.
And some random advice is cut down on screen time, don't be too hard on yourself if you relapse and just try your best, avoid areas of the Internet you know you shouldn't be on, and understand that the temporary pleasure porn promises leads to ruin and has nothing on the long term benefits of abstaining.

Number one thing dude is just be away from the screen a lot more. If you aren't at work, don't be at a computer or alone on your phone. Find a bunch of things to do so that you simply do not have the time to even look that shit up online. Martial arts 5x a week, cooking classes, taking your fiance out, beer league sports, trivia, literally does not matter. You fiance will probably appreciate this.

If you're not at the screen, your brain will literally have to invent shit to get horny about, and your fiance will appreciate that too.

Porn is only a problem if you're neglecting other aspects of your life over it. Casually watching it once every other day or once a week to get over sexual frustration and provide better mental clarity and focus in the moment is entirely different from masturbating every single hour of every day and neglecting the formation of meaningful relationships, academia, and work.

Like most other things in life, all in moderation. Heavy caffeine usage causes Insomnia, Headaches, Irritability, etc. Heavy alcohol usage causes high blood pressure, memory problems, increased risk of cancer, etc. Low to moderate caffeine usage can decrease the risk of depression, stimulate the function of the brain, and improve your mood. Moderate alcohol consumption can reduce your chances of dying through heart disease, reduce your risk of a stroke, and can even possibly reduce your risk of developing diabetes.

Masturbation/pornography also has both positive and negative effects associated with its use. That doesn't mean you have to abstain from it entirely, but rather reduce your usage of it if you are noticing you have a problem with self control and/or a problem with maintaining meaningful relationships and a control over your life.

Bullshit. Porn is a problem, no matter how much or how little you're using it. Not only for yourself, since it's already well established that even one session of porn induced cooming is harmful for your brain, but for others too.

You wouldn't say it's okay to rape only once a week, would you? Or to kick a homeless guy in the face only once or twice a month. Certain things are unethical in and of themselves, and no matter how little you do them, they still cause harm, and are still wrong.

Is it better to only coom to porn once a month than every single day? Sure, but if you can't or don't want (aka you can't but you don't want to admit to your addiction) to stop cooming altogether, you have a problem. And every time you search for porn on your browser, you're increasing the demand for porn. Porn is inextricably linked to sex trafficking and abuse. There's no way for anyone to know whether what's going on in a porn video was consensual or not, or what kinds of psychological and emotional problems the "actors" have that enable them to treat themselves as commodities for the sexual gratification of others.

Viewing porn increases the demand for the exploitation of the most vulnerable and unprotected people in society. Most of the participants in porn, even if they're supposedly consenting to it, are coming from a place of desperation, usually they think it's the only option left they have, other times they've been sexually abused as children and have no clear boundaries around their sexuality. Whenever you watch porn, you're taking advantage from people who have been victimized in horrendous ways.

Lastly, whoever understands just a little about quantum physics knows that whatever you put your attention to is expanded, just by your conscious focus on it. If you're giving not just your conscious awareness to something, but you're giving it your sexual energy, which spiritually (I don't care if you don't believe this, it's a fact) is your creative energy (and also physically, cause babies, duh), you're changing reality and actively bringing more of what you're giving your energy to. Ask yourself this, is the distorted and grotesque shit depicted in porn the reality you want to bring more of into existence? Is that a society you want to live in? Is the pornified society we live in already one that you want for your future children, or for future generations?

I think it's sad that it's cringe to say you'd tap some girl you like or to find a booth babe hot but hardcore degenerate porn and simping is normal, why did we throw away the dude bro culture for this shit.

I think you need to keep the reality of porn in mind. Most of the women are fuck ugly. Men have roided mega dicks that bludgeon anything smaller than a blue whale. Women are showing signs of damage, especially in the backdoor region. A lot of porn is Jew bio leninism like blacking white women and Trump abuse.

You should be asking with any porn is this some sex abuse victim, how seedy and fucked up is this situation.

The fantasy period of porn is over and the truth and reality of the entire thing has set in. If the horrors of porn and the world we live in doesn't help then watch black pilling content everyday until the hatred, bitterness and depression destroy your sex drive may.

Porn has existed since neanderthals. You'd think we'd have gotten rid of it by now if it really killed your brain THIS terribly. Though yes, it isn't a good idea, and healthy relationships are often without porn usage--that said, it's very possible to have a healthy lifestyle and still consume (a small amount of) porn.

You wouldn't say it's okay to rape only once a week, would you? Or to kick a homeless guy in the face only once or twice a month. Certain things are unethical in and of themselves, and no matter how little you do them, they still cause harm, and are still wrong.
This analogy is so ridiculous I actually laughed. If you actually believe watching porn is as unethical and harmful as literal rape and violence to the point of a comparison, get your head checked. It's more like it's about as harmful as accepting services from a prostitute.

Ah, this argument. Yes, people in the porn industry have been taken advantage of in horrible ways. Yet you push the responsibility of that abuse on the consumers, rather than the perpetrators. You even acknowledged that there are actors in the porn industry are in it willingly. There are much more dangerous jobs, emotionally and physically, than being a porn actor. There are porn actors who depend on the demand for their pron to survive. And even if not, people will upload amateur pornos for free and with no strings attached, no matter what, because it gets their rocks off. You can't restrict their freedom from doing so. Your argument ignores the entire existence of OnlyFans and independent camgirls. If your problem is people consuming porn, saying it's unethical doesn't fly.

Again, you are taking away agency from pornstars. You are claiming there is no possible way anyone would ever create porn on their own or because they want to make a living off of their body. Yes, the porn industry does have these problems--if your argument is specifically against porn as an industry, then I completely agree, people should avoid pornos produced by corporate entities or organizations due to the often unethical nature of the business. However, if it's against porn as a medium or it's consumption, this doesn't help.

People are degenerates. People have been degenerate since before the porn industry existed. People will ALWAYS be degenerates. You will not get rid of humanity's capability for degeneracy by removing porn from the equation. In fact, I would go so far as to say degenerates have a lesser effect on society due to porn. They sit in their goon caves all night and don't bother people with their weird fetishes--and when they are stupid enough to throw their degeneracy around, they are rightfully shunned and chastised for it. We can live aware of these people without them impacting our lives, we have the freedom to treat them like the degenerates they are, and that's enough.

My conclusion is that porn will always exist in some form, and people will always want to consume it, because people want an easy way to get off. Porn consumption is not something to take pride in, but it's not going away while humanity has sexual urges that we will seek to gratify by any means possible.

I intend for this post of a rebuttal to help people who are struggling with addiction to porn to realize that it's not immoral to consume porn; relief from addiction is a journey you take purely for self-improvement, not to improve the world. It's like choosing to get fit or taking on a healthy diet, it will improve YOUR life first to rid yourself of porn addiction. Your body, mind, spirit, soul, whatever--treat yourself well, and you will be happy. Respect yourself by not cooming your brains out.

As a past gooner I can tell that it's an escalating medium that will leave the consumer in a perpetual downward spiral from which they barely ever come out, and it's not worth it to subject yourself to it in any capacity, as ultimately you will do something either criminal or harmful to yourself or others all while getting leached around by these types of individuals.

There is a always a guaranteed slow but escalating fixation that gooning and a specific fetish, a fetish you will get without a doubt - furry, loli, zoo,... and combinations when you get desperate - will create in any long time porn consumer that will make you toss out heaven and earth for quick gratification, and you don't even need to be on now abandoned japanese websites to find examples of people who ended up like this.

If anyone is legit struggling with this, you can get good luck in breaking it with 3 things put together, an active hobby that forces you to be either public or on the move - like the gym; A passive one that doesn't touch on your tenptation to just stop doing it - Like vidya if you can't read; And accountability to either someone you trust or an ideal;

Porn has existed since neanderthals. You'd think we'd have gotten rid of it by now if it really killed your brain THIS terribly. Porn has existed since the stone age in basic rudimentary forms, such as simple representations of the body or, as of recent centuries, pictures of varying and increasing quality that at most incentivized young individuals to prosue the act - It was never beamed into your eyes surrounded by hypnotising lights that kill your sex drive, we don't know the ramifications of this to it's full extent yet.

Again, this is the same type of mentality as "A little crack won't do any harm.", it's a worthless form of entertainment that only detracts with no benefits and doesn't deserve to be salvaged in any shape, even equating it to prostitution in value is a reach, as in that form anonymity can be maintained and 2 individuals both recieve recompense.
