Maybe I'm a retarded hipster but I'm seriously wondering why I come to easily disliking vtubers I once liked, especially when they blow up, like Pippa Pipkin. I don't know if it's the relative quiet of superchat, none of which are spamming the same retarded joke every chance they get and forcing the liver to interrupt the flow of their thoughts with a constant barrage mind numbing superchat notifications. Or if it's the boring tard wrangler temperament that's required to get a chat of that size to behave. Or maybe it's uncertainty that I'm missing, the ephemeral intoxicant of "will I really make it as a vtuber" that makes the liver take risks that would almost certainly cost them in the future.. I'm probably not the first to think of this but things do change.

Does that mean you dislike the vtuber or their chat? Chat can get retarded really fast really easy. Plus corpos need to wrangle their talents too. This is why if I do watch vtubers its usually indies who can yell "piss piss cum shit cum shit piss*" loudly and nobody cares.

* This is how you say "hi" in eastern europe.

My oshi is Dizzy Dokuro and often times the chat can fuckin' suck. There were times during the "Let's bully Dizzy with money!" arc that I was just like "Can we get the fuck on with it?"

I think it's a weird mingling of both. I don't really see this issue with big corpos, they usually just ignore superchats or just dedicate entire streams to reading them which makes sense. I understand appreciating support of the audience by thanking them but it's hard to call it support when the liver is constantly inundated with AREN'T-I-SO-WITTY superchats that do nothing but interrupt the flow of streams.

I genuinely can't watch Pippa anymore because she continues to let chat interrupt her: so I blame her and the chat. Her soylent stream was alright though, still has the same issues I listed.

This is pretty much what filtered me off Pippa as well. Collab streams are still great because she entirely ignores chat and focuses on talking to the other people, but I've found her solo streams borderline unwatchable for a long time now because of chat and her arguing with chat over dumb shit.

The amount of chat interaction she did was great when she had like 1k viewers and the retards were much rarer, but now 60% of every stream is just reading or arguing with superchatters.

I feel like most of Holo gets it right, where they just ignore 99% of superchats during actual streams and then do supa reading streams that I can just not watch.

Superchats are honestly a problem with all streamers, not just v-tubers. At least a good content producer can make a promotion sound interesting, but superchats is usually a retard throwing 500 dollars at a streamer to say "HURR DURRRRR! CHIPPO!" every 5 minutes. it is just as bad as youtube ads popping with low quality music shitty soy ads.

Maybe big streamers would do okey if they just charged a 2-3 dollar price for their big ass streams or had a coca cola/overwatch/RAID SHADOW LEGENDS promo segment. It would be less disruptive.

Maybe Pippa can designate a cutoff price for superchats, like chats under $10 would be read at the end of the stream or something. Does she already do this?

The main problem is the amount of newfags who only know a vtuber by memes or clips, so they autistically spam said memes (like the mold, hating Pippa the Rippa, etc). It's the bane of all entertainers who get big.

I do wonder why some of these vtubers don't do shortform videos rather than be a livestreamer. I know some of them have highlights of certain months of streams, and some have shorts to go along with, but I feel like some of them would be better if they had more coherent ramblings on a topic that was written.

About English vtuber companies, VSPO is going to open an English branch. Their vtubers are girl "gamers" mostly focusing on FPS games. But they are also pretty cute. They are third in audience after Niji/Holo, already have 3d models and have put on some interesting events like "renting" a high school for a week for fans to come and interact with.

While I like pippa(there's a lot of vtubers who does that too but pippa is the only one that I watch), one of the things that made me dislike her a lot was she pretending to be clueless, tard for money. Like she does a bad take, ignores chat and keeps doubling down on it while they send fat stacks of superchats but besides that, I tend to ignore her chat
