Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

It really is amazing how Ukraine keeps losing all this territory while simultaneously killing 20 Russians for every one of their own losses. War colleges around the world should study it.
This is really what ruins the credibility of the "other side".

Ukraine/NATO never does anything wrong, except not give even more. Everything is a calculated risk and every """loss""" is really just part of the plan.

Failed spring/summer offensive? On purpose to preserve the army.

Retreat from nearly cut off major strong point? Calculated to happen at the perfect time after causing maximum damage to the enemy. Or, lol, to cause the Russians to become stretched out for a perfect counterattack.

They walk back every single claim they made while constantly saying "just 3 days/2 weeks/ whatever made up number to take Kiev".

This thread has been much more real and has criticized Russia for dumb shit. But that simply doesn't exist for Ukraine. Everything is next level strats, just us imbeciles don't understand the plan. Don't you dare look for yourself what the situation looks like, you need to listen to ISW to properly explain it to you.

It's so incredibly gay.

The summer 2023 Spring offensive was just a probing attack. The real campaign is soon about to begin
Budanov unironically had said that the real counter-offensive is in spring.

And recently reiterated it. Just gotta field those flying wunderwaffe F-16s.
I'm sure they'll do damage. Just like I'm sure it will not help with recapturing Crimea whatsoever.

What are they gonna do now without the coke plant?

Everything is a victory for Ukraine, apparently. If/when Russia wins, Ukraine will be one of the few countries that lost the war despite coming out on top in every engagement, no exceptions.
Ain't information control just grand? Ukraine has decisively won every battle but they're still in full retreat from the Russians.

This is how you can tell Ukraine is a US puppet state because even when the US loses they'll claim it to be a W.

Putin is Hitler. The allies suffered setbacks from 1939-1942 just like Ukraine has. But sooner or later, Ukraine is going get together the military forces to launch a D-Day. The inevitable result of a D-Day is that forces of nazism are put on the run and liberation begins.

Then in less than a year Putin will be trapped in his bunker in Moscow and kill himself as the forces of liberation reach Moscow. Then there will be war crimes trials and Russians will be re-educated in "freedom" just as the Germans and Japanese were in 1945.

Every military conflict involving the US or NATO is an analogy to world war II. Every military conflict will involve "setbacks" followed eventually by a D-Day and then overwhelming defeat of Neu Hitler and his legions. People constantly write stuff just like this in the western mainstream press.

And if Ukraine doesn't win by some chance, than Ukraine is 1939 Poland or 1940 France. A lost stepping stone in an inevitably larger war where America will be Pearl Harbored and have to wake up to defeating the Russian Threat followed by a new D-Day and the march on Moscow.

The script is NEVER wrong.

I mean hey, I used to be in that boat. "US wins everything, can't do any wrong" blah blah blah.

The difference is I was still in grade school.

The fact that these people have not matured mentally past that point is...concerning. They just add more fancy words and try to back it with totally credible, non biased think tank sources...lol.

Rutte noted that Russia's economic potential should not be overestimated: "Russia's economy is not more than the Netherlands and Belgium combined. Nothing compared to Germany, nothing compared to France, nothing compared to the collective EU economy."

"muh gdp based mostly on gay service/white collar industries"

*Edit* It's like some dumbass bragging about having a high power car but shitty tires that spin out as soon as they touch the gas. Just spinning in place doing zero.

Actually, might be more comparable to bad mustang drivers. Gets going for a second, loses control, and then crashes into some other poor saps car.

I watched a long docu series on the Vietnam War recently. It was scary how the situation paralleled Afghanistan. Now its Ukraine.
The US kept propping up a publicly unpopular leaders and rigged elections under the guise of 'muh democracy' even though they often acted like a dictator. Every loss was a victory. They would spin things so hard to cope. Lie to the American people and congress about your progress, keep throwing money and blood at a futile situation. They are even using the same retarded domino theory thinking that if Ukraine falls, Europe is dead. Its all so tiresome.

Russia is a petro-state abundant in natural resources. Its lifestyle may not be like the EUs, but damn is it resilient. Whatever happened to the sanctions?

Except for the fact that Russia has the resources and a functioning industrial base that's finally getting it's footing.
It will be forever imprinted in my mind the moment the US/EU decided to kick Russia out of SWIFT they expected for Russia to just collapse in an instant.
Their theory was that nowadays for the richest countries their main form of making money is trough highly specialized goods and services, for example you woudn't expect a proper working jet engine turbine or a top tier GPU from Zimbwabe, and because of their dominance they simply saw their own industrial manufacturing and primary resouce extraction sectors as something of the uncivilized past that they could just offshore for cheaper to shitholes and never suffer consequences from it.
And so with this idea in mind they figured that if they knocked Russia off SWIFT they would die instantly.
But then it didn't it just continued because Russia never really de-industrialized or not as hard as the west did so even if they got kicked out of international trade they carried on, because despite suffering some losses from it they wheren't as debastating as the west had expected because Russia wasn't as retarded as them to simply get rid of its home manufacturing like it was useless.
VERY rude awakening for the people in power who just expected the conflict to end there
Now all we have is politicians crying "MUH GDP MUH GDP" thinking Russia couldn't possibly keep waging war but you don't really need much to fight a war, only willing men, steel and gundpowder.
China got plenty and is not afraid to share

Ukrainska Pravda reports Russia hit Slavyansk and Kramatorsk with Iskander and X-22 missiles on the evening of 17 February 2024:

According to preliminary data, on Saturday night the Russians hit ballistics from the Iskander-M missile system, and probably X-22 supersonic missiles in Kramatorsk.

Seems Russia is probing for weak spots, and there are many.

Wish he was here to see it.

They do have the excuse of some contested territory, but all of that is firmly Russian already. If anything they've just painted a target on themselves. The territory was taken in the first place because Leningrad was exposed with a foreign border so close, but once a comfortable buffer was established, that was the end of that. Nobody's going to invade Finland to get some more forest when most of Russia is already forest. Being home to yank garrisons though makes them a legitimate threat.
The entire situation is exceptionally awkward for Finland.
On one hand the NATO membership is good. It allows Finland to stand up to the Russian state in a way it couldn't before.
On the other hand it invites the Americans, and makes Finnish independence a liability for the Russians. A world war in Finland would be a genocide of the Fatherland, and the Americans are precisely the sort of people to not care about that.
On one hand Finland shouldn't fall in line with the East, as our wars were fought to make sure that wouldn't happen.
On the other hand the antithesis to the East, the West, is shitting itself and will likely collapse.

Unless America feels like starting a world war, things are just precarious and gay for now.

It's crazy when you bring that up here and people will get mad at you, bitching about how you're totes a Putin supporter. It does really feel like everyone is brainwashed into thinking America is this beacon of ultimate goodwill with no ill intentions at all, capable of no wrong at all.

And it's totally perfect now when Trump is not in office. Biden is king, after all.

It's all so tiresome. I don't hate America but I hate the EU's willingness to bend over and take it up the ass without lube by Uncle Sam, then ask for seconds after getting infected by AIDS.
Exactly. Milton Friedman said "There's no such thing as a free lunch." I would say "Every dollar bill is a contract." It's ironic that Americans of all people would forget this. I learned it from them!

Mark Rutte is the OUTGOING prime minister of the Netherlands. He was appointed to be prime minister in 2010 by Unilever. He has been in office for 14 years and after he ceases being prime minister, the story is that globohomo will be promoting him to a position of actual importance such as secretary-general of NATO where he will be able to function beyond the reach of any voter.

Yes. The GDP number for the Netherlands is massive. But at the same time, its impossible for the Netherlands to afford any sort of military at all. The Royal Netherlands Land Army these days is a force of Netherlands mercenaries that serves in the German Army in German military formations.

Fielding a tiny force of perhaps seven battalions, a navy which is largely imaginary and an air force of 30 fighters requires a defense budget of $15 billion dollars a year.

Situation around Robotyne. Seems like a general advance. It may be hard to see but the advances are the darker red color at the bottom of the Cauldron(U shape in the line). I would have used a map without so many icons on it but Rybar was the only one I could find that was reporting the advance across the whole front. (some mapping places work only off of opens source geolocation and some places work off of connections). I thought Russia was going to surround Robotyne but I think they might just go straight through. Not sure about that though.

The interesting thing about this is how quick it seems like Russia is moving. I don't know if Russia is pushing especially hard or if Ukraine is weak there or what. I've also heard that Ukraine will be moving the 116th brigade in there which they previously pulled out to rest and recover.

This is the situation around Chasov Yar/Bakhumut. I don't know where the priority is but I'd guess Robotyne. This seems to be a shaping battle to prepare for Chasov Yar. Once Ivanivske is taken its basically a straight shot to the outskirts of Chasov Yar. Though there is nothing to the front of Chasov Yar after Ivanivske there are a couple small settlements above and below.

While EU is a dead man walking.

But hey. Rutte ...my fucking toenail has more personality and intelligence then that fucking fag and mama's boy.
One thing that I suspect that has happened in this war is that Putin has gained a large amount of control of the economy of Russia. He has done some of this before but he has jailed oligarchs and destroyed some of them and I suspect he is weakening some of them while this war is going on. War is a great opportunity to weaken the position of the Oligarchs because no one can say no to you because of the war.

The interesting thing about this is how quick it seems like Russia is moving.
The ukrainian cope if Rabotyne falls quickly will be so fucking funny, imagine sending thousands to die for 3 months straight to take a shitty town in the middle of nowhere just for it to be recaptured by Ruzzian orcs in lesss than a year, having your only somewhat important advance in that direction completely nullified.

It makes absolutely perfect sense.

The ukrainian retreat has put a chunk of the Ukrainian Army in chaos as a they try and remake chains of command, account for troops and units, and stabilize on new defensive positions.

However, for Russia, this is a gigantic opportunity to push as hard as they can as fast as possible to try and keep the Ukrainians off balance for as long as possible to grab more and better positions.

Ukraine just suffered a major morale loss and losses on men and material.

Russia is doing exactly what anyone else would do in their situation, use it to their maximum advantage.

Two days ago in the Kyiv Independent

"Ukraine's Third Assault Brigade, whose soldiers were recently deployed to Avdiivka, is facing around 15,000 Russian troops at its sector of the front, the unit said on social media on Feb. 16.

During the engagements, the brigade has effectively "wiped out" Russia's 74th and 114th separate motorized rifle brigades. Russia's estimated losses are 4,200 troops killed or wounded, according to the unit's report."

So the Azov bros showed up at Adiivka and wiped out two entire Russian brigades amounting to almost 1/3rd of the entire Russian troops in the region of Avdiivka.

Teflon Rutte is the blueprint from which Klaus clones all of his WEF Young Leaders monstrosities. Completely devoid of any discernable personality and baseline human emotion who lies seemingly simply for the joy of it.
