The Vaush debacle has enraged the 'proship' community (for those in the know, it's a bundle of sexual degenerates that are the moral successors of 'shipping wars', pairings between characters in their fandom of choice), with many people upset at Ethan and others not getting the difference between fiction and reality. Of course, with Vaush, he has made his stances on CP known - and no matter how individuals like Adam Something (who said Stepan Bandera was 'misunderstood') can say it's taken out of context, within context it is worse.
Caelan Conrad, whose claim to fame was his three hour long TERF documentaries, ended up getting eaten by the very people he claims to court. Turns out, they're not so rational as he believes. Archive.

He admits he was abused/raped as a kid. He claims to defend LGBT people, that's why he hates TERFs, but imagine his shock when it turns out this isn't enough.

Here comes the 'have you done any research'? Proshipper.

"Literally getting people killed". I thought works didn't equal reality, or something.

At least they admit rape fantasies aren't actually rape fantasies...in this tweet. I'll be bringing them up again later. Here, they posit on the perils of purity culture, while ruthlessly kicking out and ostracizing anyone who disagrees with them. Archive.

They ended up getting blocked, upset that Caelan was as nasty to them as he is to TERFs. Archive.

The poor thing. Since we're on this discourse, here's Janelle Monae discussing fantasy - in case you didn't hear it already.
And a professor discusses fantasies in general. don't worry, Vaush, I'm sure you'll get the green light.
