If you can't afford carriers for your pets, I imagine you also can't afford all the other stuff you need as a pet owner, if that's the case you SHOULD be responsible and surrender the animals. Granted, these animals aren't really Lou's, they're Denise's and she's just white trash enough to not give a damn about the animals in her care aside from feeding them and maybe occasionally cleaning their litter box. I can't really imagine how $50 could afford all this stuff anyways with the way prices have gone up. Of course, Lou is just using the move and the animals as a convenient way to beg for more money for another electronic has has his eyes on.

Thinking about it more, Lou doesn't really have any concept of the value of money. He's never had to work for the money he spends. His main audience that he's targeting with these begs are other perpetually broke grifters and the tech troons that make way too much money for their skill level. Neither of these groups is going to question this. They, like Lou, have no concept of the actual value of a dollar.

You can get a hard travel carrier for about 20-35 bucks. Iirc they have threes cats left. Thats more than 50 dollars for three carriers or even two if they put two cats in one carrier and one in the other. He’s begging for something else. Also suspicious that the house isn’t even sold yet but in the process so they don’t have to move yet. So he’s begging now for extra cash and shinies before the actual move.
