• Merlino organized the first major furry gatherings, which were only a fraction of the size they are now.
• The additions of sexual elements to the furry fandom was alleged to be spearheaded by Merlino according to multiple reports.
• According to multiple reports, summarized in the linked post, Merlino had an openly adversarial relationship with "burned furs" (furries against the sexualization of the community).
• Merlino allegedly directly advertised the fandom to paraphilia communities and asked furries to openly perform sexual acts, including in front of strangers outside of the fandom.
• Merlino allegedly allowed the distribution of drawn CSAM and referred to people who were against this practice as "saboteurs," with the same source noting a "semen elevator" incident.
• When presented with multiple direct letters of complaint about the sexualization of the community, Merlino allegedly was unphased by these letters.
• Merlino pushed back against the immediate occurrences of zoophilia in the community, stating bestiality as a concept is "not okay" and complaining it made furries "look bad."
