Having listened to the recent drunk clips now, Nick sounds like either he's terminally ill or someone very close to him is. I'm also basing this on something Metokur said during Kino Casino.
He asks them "did something happen?
Like, is there some horrible thing that happened? Has he alluded to that? Why he's doing this?" PPP replies emphatically "No!" Then there's this way Metokur presses him with "Didn't he say he had his
worse day ever?" as if he's knowingly prompting for some reply. PPP goes off on the Mandy situation, finishing with "...it might be something behind-the-scenes that we don't know about that's caused this-" Metokur quickly interrupts there with "I thought maybe like, you know, a family tragedy
or maybe he found out about an illness, something sad happened and he's really fucked up over it..."
Maybe that's a stretch, but it felt like Metokur knows
something and he was fishing to see whether it was already public so that he could discuss it. Looking at Nick's own words recently about the weight loss, he is making a conceited effort to call it an "intentional" weight loss. Despite this, he goes on to describe a separate "incidental" weight loss in the same rant. How does a self-employed millionaire "incidentally" lose weight besides health complications? He already lives a sedentary lifestyle, so putting the weight back on should be easy for a man his age, but he phrases this as a genuine challenge.
He must have been concerned enough to schedule a doctor's appointment. If he's dying and he feels detached from his family then that loneliness Rekieta was describing during Mad at the Internet would make sense. If not him dying himself, then perhaps his wife or a child is ill and the impending loss fills him with loneliness. Metokur cited the "worst day ever" too by name in relation to this health decline, perhaps that was a day they found out the news? As much as people say he "hates" his family, losing one of them like that would surely still be devastating. This is all merely a theory.
