I think suicide is typically a selfish act either way, especially if you have kids or any loved ones.

As for the drunken Dear John rant: it's either the threat of self-harm was real, so the taunting is brazenly reckless, or it wasn't and so he's no savior, and has no indebted-slave-for-life. He's seethed himself into the cuck corner here.
