I don’t think necessarily that anything devastating has happened that preceded this, but it’s more the fact that:

A: Null didn’t reveal anything that Nick could use against him.

B: For all the seething contempt that Nick has towards Null he probably still, through the whisky brain recognizes that Null is a peer of sorts that shouldn’t be fucked with.

When you listen to Nick for a while, it’s very obvious that he believes other streamers, content creators are a sort of special class, unlike the weirdos who watch them.
