TikTok

Recently there has been a series of TikToks where the creator asks a chatbot thing to generate a Pokémon game based on a region on Earth. They'll ask it to generate images for each of the three starters; an image for the "enemy team"; an image for the player character; etc. Some of them have been very amusing, but the one for U.S.A. is a comedy goldmine. Link to the TikTok, and I'll post the images below.

Edit: fixed images.

Kinda gay that the XenForo doesn't support Webp thumbnails.

Oh god, this is what the true power of ai really is.

Speaking of AI, ive found someone with a terminal misunderstanding on how ai image models works.

Also bonus viruses

Kinda fucking gay webp exists and the "person" who invented it still draws breath
There's no reason for Xenforo not to support it since all web browsers support it natively unless you love paying for bandwith which I'd argue is even gayer (webp beats jpg in compression and is like 20x smaller than a png). Desktop apps are another matter, but it's a 14 year old file format by now. People like you are whining their cracked copy of Photoshop CS6 can't open their webp.

But all this irrelevant when JXL beats them all (by the same guy that invented webp) but isn't currently supported by any Chromium web browser because Google, acting as the gatekeepers they are, wants to astroturf AVIF instead - and wants to keep webp around for as long as humanly possible for some reason.

Once again, tiktok is the beacon of intelligence

You have to start and end at the vertices with an odd number of edges (the bottom left and bottom middle here), because each time you travel through a vertex you use up one edge to enter it and one edge to leave. The weirdo mime therefore gave up after finally getting the right idea.

All the more reason to not use it. Fuck Google. Don't care if I save a few MBs by using their format I dont want to contribute to another potential monopoly Google would like to have. I get annoyed by people who post good OC but it's in the .webp format.

Derailing a bit: I don't know why, but once you've seen enough ai images it becomes kinda impossible to not immediately identify if an image was ai generated. There's always something very distinct in the pictures, backgrounds and characters (how they are positioned and their facial expressions) made by the different ai platforms, even for the newer models, that tends to give it away at first glance. Especially the lightning and shading.

if you were a webhost you might start to care that you could save 10% on potentially terabytes of bandwidth. it's not about you, random individual.

To continue the derail, it seems the webp bullshit is just another part of the users v. developers saga.
For the developer, its better for them in terms of bandwidth; the user just needs to stop being a heckin' luddite and eat ze bugs use the webp.
For the user, the developer is an asshole who's using a format they can't use, and now have to re-encode everything and thus loose visual quality; the devs should take into account users aren't guaranteed to be able to use webp files in something other then their browser.
While everyone looses here, I'm siding with the users:
  • Fuck Google trying to force shit, I side against them on principal.
  • Why use the new shiny when it's 80% of my old format without software support?
  • The common idea behind UI/UX design is that the second your software becomes a hinderance to the user, you've fucked up and need to unfuck it.

There's this guy named B. Dylan Hollis who cooks food from old timey cookbooks and he's pretty popular and even has a cookbook for the desserts that weren't disaster trash fires. I was looking at his cookbook and I was really confused and quite worried about how he looked in the pictures and I wanted to ask if I was just being turbo insane and just don't know body types.
Is this man skinny fat or does he have an eating disorder? He's gay so there's a high chance of an eating disorder but I wanted other's opinions.

He does look weirdly underweight, but not anywhere near the level of Eugenia Cooney. It's possible he has an eating disorder of a lower magnitude, though I'm no expert on physique so take me with a grain of salt.
