Some furry artist claims that Epic Games ripped off their raccoon OC in the latest Fortnite update.
TLDR: the game's latest patch preemptively added several new skins that will eventually be made buyable, and a punk-themed raccoon character was included. This guy is claiming it looks suspiciously close to a character he created in 2021, and claims he previously interviewed at Epic but was turned down.

Personally? I don't see it myself. I feel like it's just a coincidence of punk-themed "trash animals" (like raccoons and opossums) being a popular design motif now, with the only real coincidence being that they both have a green mohawk. Epic's raccoon character was previously teased on an old survey where they showed some sketches of various characters to gauge interest in deciding which ones to flesh out later. Hell, Epic's even collaborated with furries before, because two of the unlockable loading screen artworks in the current season's battle pass were drawn by furry artists.

I find it more concerning that Epic is furfaggot friendly company and i hate their shitty game even more now because of it.
honestly the clothing looks very similar, and if he is not lying about having sent work to them then he has good reason to be suspicious, Companies rejecting pitches and then using the ideas or using rejected contest entries without compensating or crediting the artists is actually very common (more so for chinamen inc.) . but there's already a billion furfags characters that look the same, his racoon doesn't strike me as particularly unique either so i'd be like trying to fight authorship on a moeblob anime girl with a school uniform, even if there's glaring similarities its too much of a generic concept and generic execution for it to go anywhere.

The OC's artwork literally looks like the outfit of Sora from Kingdom Hearts 2. If they were worried about being sued, they should be more worried about getting sued by Disney because of that outfit, not Epic.

Honestly, it is somewhat funny seeing how furries keep trying to regurgitate the exact same points over and over again; "normal people hate us because they don't UNDERSTAND us", "it's only a minority that does sexual stuff", "the only people that dislike us are edgy teenagers", antifurries never have any REAL evidence against furries", etc. They're either completely blind, willfully ignorant, or actively defending the fandom's worst bits at this point.

Oh yeah we covered this sperg when it happened, you can find all the twitter responses and his livetweeting if you go back far enough. He has a huge fetish for cutting off limbs like that and actually lost them by freezing them until they had to be amputated.
