I don't understand the reason for that since he did a full play-through of the second game on the Game Dungeon.

I think he thought back then on the idea of doing shorter reviews, that plan didn't really last long
I'm 100% certain he said this in one of his monthly fanchats years ago, but that video was also an experiment with having an outside editor for his shorter vids. Both Ross and the fans noticed a drop in quality so he stopped that style of video-making. It's kinda sad because I wouldn't mind seeing a full Ross playthrough of Legend of Kyrandia 1...

There are bad Game Dungeon episodes...?

I remember Clans episode fondly, I've played the demo 25 years ago or so and didn't expect the full game to be so mind-bogglingly entertaining.

New fan chat. I haven't watched it yet, but I wanted to share what might be Ross's best thumbnail selfie yet:

It felt a lot like if Telltale made Deus Ex Human Revolution. My favorite episodes are on the off the wall 80s/90s games he plays, but I also really enjoy how he does modern games i've just never heard of too. Really good episode.

There was precisely one(aside from the first Kyrandia) that I didn't like. It was a in a spaceship and was similarly also shorter, it was called "Quadralien". I personally also didn't enjoy his Bip Bop 2 video but I think that was mostly due to him doing those cringy voices with his wife at the end, can't bring myself to re-watch it. While the review was actually good, the Moon Gaming episode of Cyril Cyberpunk was ruined by that british faggot with a toast t-shirt. I hope I never have to hear him again.
Other than that, surprisingly all his other videos are consistently good, and quite a few I find myself regularly watching again and again and again, like his Deus Ex trilogy. Quarantine, Secret World, Dungeon Siege, Sonic Heroes or The Crew(RIP).
Going to watch his new episode. Hope it's worth the wait, even if I prefer he actually finish Freeman's Mind instead

Snoozefest. There's nothing interesting to be said about a generic ass adventure "game" with a story from some second rate 90s thriller flick.

Wish he had actually reviewed Alien Rampage instead.

I dig the setting of the game. This is what Deus Ex: Human Revolution should have been like, to be honest. Change the story to make it more of a political thriller but keep the setting and maybe even characters, add gunplay and RPG elements and you've got something worthwhile.
Shame we won't be getting anymore Christmas games(probably), Division and Apocalyptica were pretty decent choices but I was digging them. Maybe there is some obscure Christmas games that can be suggested to him so that Christmas can be saved again next year
I'm hoping for a followup to his Crew video, now that the game is shutting down. There will definitely be Dead Game News about it

I was really disappointed that Ross didn't mention State of Mind had the same writer as this legendary point-and-click:

As if State of Mind's protagonist not fighting the hobo wasn't disappointing enough, now I get to know that that pussy was authored by the same dude who gave us detective Halligan?

Ha, Bip Bop II is actually one of my favourites *because* of the voice acting, amongst other things. There were other voice actors apart from Ross and Magda too, which sets this episode apart IMO. Yes, it was pretty cheesy, but so was the game story, in a hilariously overdone kind of way. Ross is at his best when he's that immersed in the game lore and his own imagination/interpretation is in full flight.
Other favourites of mine in that vein are Super Cult Tycoon, Bozo's Night Out, and Puzzle Agent.

I actually haven't watched any Game Dungeons since Mage Knight Apocalypse, and I'm not sure I even got through that whole episode. I much prefer the old, shorter format (with a few exceptions - The Cave World Saga is lots of fun) but I fully intend to catch up on them all. Soon.

I personally don't hold any high hopes that he is going to be successful with this, but at least he's realistic in that his chances are slim. God speed, nonetheless.
He even went as far to contact the EFF twice and got ignored, even though this is right up their alley. His line of thinking even sounds like Josh's, in an "either I win or I set a horrendous precedent that makes life worse for everyone" way. When he had the momentum from the Games as a Service is Fraud video, there was no case to take up. Now that The Crew is being shut-down, he has a case but no momentum.

Seeing everything Null has been through the past 2 years legally and financially makes me sympathetic to even smaller voices that don't have a chance, like Ross. If he does actually make it to fundraising time, I'll toss him some dimes.

it definitely would be a good interview but i kind of like ross being isolated to the escapism world of old games where he only talks to people like the voice actor of curtis craig and stuff. i was watching freeman's mind in middle school back in the day, and i was never a a fan of when he'd get climate/oil preachy (regardless if he's right or not), even back when he did the civil protection episode about peak oil. i just want moldman's adventures.
