Nick build up an audience of generally conservative middle aged people who were generally interested in court coverage and sort of edgy “dunk on the libs” humor. The positives of an audience like that is that they usually have money and are loyal, often times they don’t watch other people outside of you and your friends so there isn’t a lot of criticism you receive.
The issue with a community like that is that they are, again generally, fairly simple people with strict standards - they love their spouse, work, go to church and chill. That is the type of human Nick presented himself as. Then he started to go against the general morals of his audience, doing things that they found disgusting, like talk shit about his wife. There is not a lot of creators who could survive “ I want to cheat on my wife rant” but especially someone whose whole thing was being a good father and husband.
Frankly in Nick we see the age old issue with live streamers, if you present a specific image that isn’t you at some point it will slip. We have seen it time and time again: generally if your audience is terminally online freaks they don’t care but rackets was watched by normal people who find this shit jarring.
Honestly, there is something ironic about the “internet nice guys” becoming depraved pieces of shit. Fucking makes me just not trust any kind of good person - Boogie, Jirard, the “I love my wife” idiot who cheated.
Why Nick cannot understand this and refuses to admit it is baffling and the root of his contention with detractors.

Jokes aside, there has been some talk about Rumble's shit view numbers on here. The general consensus is Rackets gets a spike in part due to his timeslot, when he ends up on the front page. They also aren't good at counting viewers, and supposedly they're going to update that sometime in the future.
I have said I think their garbage numbers are just due to incompetence, but others have rightly pointed it could be deliberate incompetence.
They have different kinds of 'view' reports that they give to thr public versus advertisers, ND it seems that their bullshittery was not blatant enough to warrant ascription of malice.
