Why would they cover it up? This isn't Tony but Tony's probably sharing it and Tony does it constantly. In his world lots of people in official positions have no actual views or thoughts except to do deliberately evil things just because it's evil. People don't actually believe some library materials are bad. Politicians don't try to hook up with other popular ideologues to appoint them to irrelevant positions to get publicity. No, it's all ceaseless hate, constantly trying to find new ways to hurt people.

Of course the police are going to fabricate an autopsy in order to protect... uh... nobody? They can't charge the girls if Nex started it. They can't charge the school officials because a 30 second fight between random students isn't negligence. They can't charge Chaya because lmao. They can't charge the hospital staff just because they missed something.

But because it was a non-binary girl of course the police immediately jumped into action to fabricate things and circle the wagons against the victim. That's just what evil people do. They don't care that they're doing a bunch of crimes to cover up a non-crime, that's just what evil people do. They don't care how obvious their evil plan was that a bunch of people on Twitter uncovered it before they carried it out, that's just what evil people do. Also evil people are generally stupid, that's why they're evil, so of course they didn't think they'd get caught so easily by no investigation from people who have never set foot in their state. It’s genuinely creepy to watch how Tony and others have transformed this unfortunate incident into a tragic national scandal complete with a police conspiracy. “Say their name.” Except oops we can’t use that phrase because Dagny was lighter than a paper bag. They don't think the police are doing a cover up to protect the perpetrators. They think the police are doing a cover up to protect transphobes/fascists/etc. in general. The police are doing a cover up to protect others like themselves from looking bad.

That's why the DOJ and FBI needs to investigate, because they'll find the massive elaborate TERF conspiracy where as soon as the police heard about this they sent e-mails to Chaya who hit up Rowling about what to do. Then Null suggested they just make up evidence and Jesse Singal pointed out that the autopsy would be the good place to do it. The police department is the small fish who will flip on the higher up mob bosses inside the TERF hierarchy.

Then once the cover up protects you and helps you keep power you quietly erase the crimes the police committed. Without an investigation, now under Biden, they'll get away with it once the cover up helps Trump win. You might object that Tony and Alex and the rest are merely blatantly lying not doing legit crimes but that's obvious too.
