Five people in the Central Highlands' Dak Lak Province were arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl after a drinking party.
Nguyen Van Nghia and four of his friends, aged 14-24, were arrested by the police of Krong Pak District on Friday for "rape of a person under 16."

The group was hanging out at a coffee shop when they saw the girl sitting at a nearby table. Nghia got acquainted with her, then invited her to an acquaintance's house for a drinking party.

The party ended late at night, and Nghia and his friends rented a motel with the girl to sleep. Nghia and the girl stayed in the same room. Nghia then raped the girl, told his friends about the deed, and the friends proceeded to rape the girl as well.

The girl told her family about what happened the next day, and they reported the matter to the police.

A person accused of raping a person under 16 faces up to 17 years imprisonment, but life imprisonment and death will be considered in case of gang rape.

The way the article presents the details clearly suggests it was not statutory rape, plus they'd likely use that term if it was the case.

You know, I was playing Pokemon cards and video games with my friends around that age, not getting drunk with random groups of older people of the opposite sex at their homes. Even I'd have known what was up despite not being the brightest kid, and at the time I still thought pee is what got girls pregnant. I think she was playing with fire and got burned.

Anyway, the adults deserve life in prison regardless. Even the younger guys do if it really was a gang rape and not just regret, which is possible. Gang rape is traumatic as fuck, and anyone willing to inflict that on others doesn't deserve to live in society.

Do you live in a mansion? Small apartments often have every room visible, especially from the living room. When I was 11 I'd "watch TV" at my friend's house around the same time every day so I could see his blonde bombshell mom walk around with just a dinky towel wrapped around her. I was glad she was talkative and in no rush to get dressed.
