It may have been @Fascist Kirk who pointed out the Sistine Chapel was painted in less time than some of these books.

Sistine Chapel was 4-5 years I think.

Might not fully apply, but a different perspective. Based on some searching, a 100-floor skyscraper can take about 5 years to build. And you're dealing with a lot of bureaucracy with that. Different time, but the Empire State building apparently took 13 months. But take the WTC/Freedom Tower as an example. It started to be rebuilt in late 2006. And was finished in mid-2013. So, 7-years, I guess. And that's got a ton of moving parts.

Meanwhile, these people will say it's about quality. Never mind the fact that they used to do be able to do 20 page comics in maybe a month? And most of these campaigns seem to hover around 40-50 pages comics. Sure, without a deadline, they can make them a little better. And I get it. Life happens. You have to deal with other people's schedules. Maybe there is an issue with the printer. But there comes a point where it looks like you're just goofing off or have major OCD. Or possibly just not really interested in the project you started. Particularly when getting them to give an update is like pulling teeth.

Having said that, I think a year is fair. 6 months is better.

There is a good chance it will never get released. Even when he was campaigning for it he made it clear he didn't want to do it. iirc his claim was hasbro was going to sue him. So i am guessing one day he will just say he got a letter and he can't do it. No one will get their money back of course.

He seems to be doing it. But he is doing it as low effort as he possibly can. Its all three panel pages, minimal effort on the art and almost no story to speak of. So far, IMO it looks like some of the worst work he has ever done. There were six pages of art released that were all just set-up for a bar fight between the main character and a care-bear. Half the panels seem to contain giant bear heads emoting in different ways.

He may be up around a page a week in art which means this thing might be done by the end of the year. But the price of all this is that he can't even start Cyberfrog 3. If he follows his usual art pace (a page every 2 to 3 weeks), I wouldn't expect Cyberfrog 3 until 2027 or 2028.

Hence the shift to manufactured drama streamer. His lifestyle is very expensive and he's run out of things to crowdfund for. The property tax on his house alone is over $1,300 per month and it's set to go up to probably $2k/mo after the next assessment.

On my previous post when I called Matt a rage-fag? I wasn't really kidding. Anyone that even partially kept up with him knows his internet history is a love poem to doing autistic screeching at others on the internet, especially Twitter. I think EVS kept him around because unlike many artists in the wonderful world of CG, Matt actually has some kind of work ethic and finishes his shit.

As to his most recent anti shift? EVS has been cozying up to the Dick Masterson circle for Total Nigger Death against Eric July, or some shit. This includes people Matt really doesn't like, especially known child enthusiast Vito and Dick's retarded lap dog, Riley. Matt also got into it with some e-thot that Riley screws around with called Mint Salad. Ethan decided to throw him out of the green room on a recent stream in favor of Cecil and Mint, thus contributing to the ever devolving relationships in the CG circles that were, well, absolute dog shit to begin with.

Now we're at the point where Riley is declaring he's going to pay Matt a visit. It's just a question if Matt will call the police like Eric, or just decide to shoot his fatass instead.
