Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

I'm at a loss to explain what Ukraine thought they would gain by killing Tucker Carlson. How was that supposed to help their cause? Everybody on the planet would know it was Ukraine.
Ukraine gains nothing, but that’s not what it’s all about. Regardless of whatever spin was put on it officially, Tucker’s assassination while in Russia would serve as yet another reminder to any journalists considering straying from the Party line. Sure they’d all regurgitate the “ACKSHULLY, it was the Russians who blew Tucker up” story but deep down they’d know exactly who did it and why.

I mean, even though this attempt failed, and will surely be ignored/“debunked”, anyone considering straying from the Party line when it comes to Ukraine/Russia is on-notice now as to what the consequences for that could be.

Singapore
If, for the past ten years a hostile country that had once been part of Singapore was targeting your fellow citizens constantly and they were being murdered in that adjacent country simply for being from Singapore, and those doing so said they were coming for you next, and that Singapore should be broken up into city-states you might feel differently after a few years. I think for the time being you're fine though. This is simply the aftermath of 1991 and glowies using the Ukraine to destabilize Russia, something they have planned since the end of WW2.

LOL "globohomo" conspiracy theory much? It's not like they have anyone else anyway!
Very funny to see her channel be:
1. Entirely russian language
2. Mostly covers of russian pop bands

And then immediately after the war starts she rebrands completely and has everything in Ukranian and is this uberpatriotic Slava Ukraini girl that sings songs about how Putin needs to die.

Very savvy marketing.

These are the same people who tortured coach red pill to death and constantly shell civilians out of spite instead of giving the ammo to units actually trying to hold ground. Never underestimate the pettiness of elites.

When i heard they deployed Abrams i thought it was stupid to attack the Russians who just had taken the fortress i said they would just get blown up for no gain, this was of course me being retarded as Geckogoy pointed out the reason was to form a hard-to-get-through wall so the Russians couldn't just march all the way to the river unopposed and it made sense even if they could take the Abrams it wouldn't be without a high costs.
And then they get them blown up by drones anyway, jesus christ just end this war already so the remaining tanks can serve as historical pieces

You know I was watching a Russian streamer called Iron_Sultan on twitch and he showed some videos of troops on the front. There was some guy in an active warzone with bullets flying and shells falling all around in a ruined building filming himself and saying that he was extremely happy and had the best job in the world. How do people attain this sort of psychological state? It's clear he's a battle-hardened vet but how can a man get used to such an environment, let alone enjoy what he's doing there? I feel like so many Russian volunteers clearly aren't motivated by money. What else can compel a man to put his life in danger and still be so happy and unperturbed? Is it ideology? Religion? What's keeping these troops going? I'm perplexed and I've spent two years in the army and I feel nothing there can prepare you for an actual conflict since you know you're not in danger.
some guys don't want to be an office drone or work menial service jobs or factory jobs. for those fellows, the battlefield is going to be a blast.
Let me put it this way. When you are in combat every decision you make matters, everything you do matters. You have the feeling of being more alive than you have ever felt ever before. There is so much stupid bullshit that people have to put up with in modern life, filling out forms, doing pointless tasks because you need to show that you are doing something etc, but in war it is completely the opposite. Everything matters and everything that is fake and stupid and dumb dissolves. I remember a pacific war veteran having an outburst after the war because he had to fill out a job application form. There are a lot of painful things and you feel them strongly but there are a lot of good things and you feel them strongly too.

I think love of country and need to defend it does come into play a little bit but not in the moment to moment stuff. I think that kind of stuff is why people can endure the painful things in war and keep going.

The final thing I think soldiers enjoy doing is and this is quite taboo, but killing people is fun in a certain kind of way. When you kill a man you prove without a shadow of a doubt that you were better than that man. You win and you feel the glory of supremacy. This is not the most wholesome thing but it absolutely does exist.

If my country was not ruled by unbelievably evil people I would have been a combat officer but I can't justify doing so and so I can only dream.

Have a Strelkov meme. The best result out of the Temper Tantrums of Prigozhin and Strelkov has been the memes made along the way.

Ulysses S Grant had a miserable time in civ life before the civil war. like you say, wars strip away all the performance out of life; only the mission matters and no one cares how it gets done as long as it does. some guys love that shit.

They would get nothing.
Just like with the assassinations of Dugina and Tatarsky, which did not help them in any way in the war yet they continue to waste resources on killing civilians and psyops because they are impossibly petty and bloodthirsty.

Also assassinating Givi and the other Sparta commanders after the Minsk agreements. I think any other group would have been demoralized but not Slavs, because, well, they're Slavs.
