All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

She even has a lovechild with her cartel lover, this woman is notorious for attention seeking behavior and baiting Mexican celebrities into useless feuds that never existed. For Personal reasons(\ | /), I think Trump is stupid for what he said, but I think no one should have listened to this woman in the first place given her incredulous and sketchy background.
Slutshaming is wrong, but how can anyone make this woman a mouthpiece for women's rights, when she was accused of being a willing concubine of one of the world's most "machisto" crime rings? This woman has a long history of immoral behavior that has actually been counterproductive to women's rights, and now, she'll probably get her own reality TV series along with a green card.
Hillary is the worst at everything

Right now she's using Pusha T to get a voter drive for young black Americans

Pusha T is the self-described Cocaine Superstar based on how much he sold and snorts

Like, that's who you think young black men look up to?

If BLM is any indicator, their role models are actually worse. From what I gather, any good role model gets "uncle tom"-ed.

I'm not reading through pages of sheer autism that I missed, but I thought I saw someone say Clinton is better because we need a good SC Justice, but

1) In case you haven't concluded, the Democrats and Republicans are the same damn thing (right leaning moderates), especially when compared to some of the independents (Stein, Sanders, Johnson, and hell even Trump). There isn't going to be a huge difference in who becomes the next Justice other than the letter next to their name.

2) "but as you said, Trump is an outlier and won't pick a moderate like Clinton would, he'll pick some crazy far right idiot" the nominee has to go through Congress, who isn't going to let anyone who isn't the status quo through. Even if the congress is all red. The republicans hate Trump. They're okay with looking like they'd be working against him if it came down to it. They'd just reject every nominee until an establishment approved one comes in.

>Congress won't work

FTFY

The real problems are at the state and local levels (the real big picture with the US that isn't the US policing the world, like these fuckers think is a big picture thing!), as it is - and yet I see no action on dealing with those, just hoping one guy someone likes wins this "popularity contest". UGH.

So an entire year of Trump's tax transcripts were leaked by someone working within Trump Tower, revealing some interesting insights into Trump's business dealings, in particular reporting a 916 Million dollar loss in 1995, that helps explain how Trump could go without paying taxes for so long.

Tax Transcripts in question: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/10/01/us/politics/donald-trump-taxes.html

Full Article for context: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/02/us/politics/donald-trump-taxes.html

The documents show, for example, that while Mr. Trump reported $7.4 million in interest income in 1995, he made only $6,108 in wages, salaries and tips. They also suggest Mr. Trump took full advantage of generous tax loopholes specifically available to commercial real estate developers to claim a $15.8 million loss in 1995 on his real estate holdings and partnerships.

But the most important revelation from the 1995 tax documents is just how much Mr. Trump may have benefited from a tax provision that is particularly prized by America’s dynastic families, which, like the Trumps, hold their wealth inside byzantine networks of partnerships, limited liability companies and S corporations.

The provision, known as net operating loss, or N.O.L., allows a dizzying array of deductions, business expenses, real estate depreciation, losses from the sale of business assets and even operating losses to flow from the balance sheets of those partnerships, limited liability companies and S corporations onto the personal tax returns of men like Mr. Trump. In turn, those losses can be used to cancel out an equivalent amount of taxable income from, say, book royalties or branding deals.

Better still, if the losses are big enough, they can cancel out taxable income earned in other years. Under I.R.S. rules in 1995, net operating losses could be used to wipe out taxable income earned in the three years before and the 15 years after the loss. (The effect of net operating losses on state income taxes varies, depending on each state’s tax regime.)

The tax experts consulted by The Times said the $916 million net operating loss declared by Mr. Trump in 1995 almost certainly included large net operating losses carried forward from the early 1990s, when most of Mr. Trump’s key holdings were hemorrhaging money. Indeed, by 1990, his entire business empire was on the verge of collapse. In a few short years, he had amassed $3.4 billion in debt — personally guaranteeing $832 million of it — to assemble a portfolio that included three casinos and a hotel in Atlantic City, the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, an airline and a huge yacht.

TL;DR: Trump is a shitty businessman who took a near-1 billion dollar loss and used a tax-loophole to avoid paying taxes, not because he was smart at filing taxes.

EDIT:

The Trump's campaign so far responded:

Mr. Trump declined to comment on the documents. Instead, the campaign released a statement that neither challenged nor confirmed the $916 million loss.

In full context this is what Hillary actually said.

"There is a sense of disappointment among young people about politics. They’re children of the Great Recession, and they are living in their parents’ basement. They feel that they got their education, and the jobs that are available to them are not at all what they envision for themselves, and they don’t see much of a future…that is a mindset that is really affecting their politics. So if you’re feeling that you are consigned to being a barista or some other job that doesn’t pay a lot and doesn’t have much of a ladder of opportunity attached to it, then the idea that maybe, just maybe you could be part of a political revolution is pretty appealing."

I'm pretty sure using the loopholes available to you to pay as little taxes as possible is due to knowing the tax code very well. Why would you pay taxes you don't have to when there are ways not to pay them written directly into the tax code?

People hire tax experts for their taxes exactly for that reason: paying as few taxes as possible is possible only when you know the tax code very well.

Wow Trump doesn't like paying more in taxes than he's legally obligated to.

What a monster.
