The chan had images. It wouldn't have been much of a chan otherwise. Anyway that's why he shut it down, specifically that despite his initial free speech stand on anything legal goes, it was exactly the same IPs posting that that were also posting actual CP. He got pretty blackpilled on the whole concept and shut it down since getting 24/7 policing wouldn't have been feasible.
Almost all altchans have exactly this. Somehow it's always a suspiciously similar pattern. Almost like there's one entity doing it everywhere.
He's probably talking about 9chan.tw.

IIRC the 8chan board was text only, and the CP posters got pissed and spammed other boards. On 9chan he tried a loli-specific image board to contain them, and the "loli" posters got pissed and spammed CP.
