All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

These are currently the states that can cumulatively push her over a minimum of 270 electoral college votes that lean heavily Democratic. Besides each state will have an index referring to the number of electoral college votes each state is worth, and the percentage chance that it will go to Hillary.
  • DC (3 points, 99.9%)
  • Hawaii (4 points, 99.3%)
  • Maryland (10 points, 99.8%)
  • Vermont (3 points, 96.2%)
  • California (55 points, 99.7%)
  • Massachusetts (11 points, 98.7%)
  • New York (29 points, 99.1%)
  • Maine 1st District (1 point, 93.0%)
  • Illinois (20 points, 95.9%)
  • Rhode Island (4 points, 87.8%)
  • Connecticut (7 points, 92.3%)
  • Washington (12 points, 94.2%)
  • New Jersey (14 points, 93.0%)
  • Oregon (7 points, 91.6%)
  • Delaware (3 points, 85.7%)
  • New Mexico (5 points, 82.5%)
  • Maine Statewide (2 points, 75.4%)
  • Virginia (13 points, 81.8%)
  • Minnesota (10 points, 77.8%)
  • Michigan (16 points, 77.6%)
  • Wisconsin (10 points, 76.8%)
  • New Hampshire (4 points, 70.5%)
  • Pennsylvania (20 points, 73.8%)
  • Colorado (9 points, 68.4%)
If Hillary wins the following states, she pushes over 270 electoral college votes and wins the election

The electoral map and simple demographics are one of Trump's many obstacles that he is facing in his struggle for the presidency.

What you refuse to understand is there's still a chance. Do any of those percentages read 100%?

And why is Ohio and Florida not there? You ACTUALLY are suggesting she can win without either of those states? Thats likely.

So this is a little old if you're on the Right, but if you're on the Left its, of course, "Unsubstantiated" or something but Wikileaks has been getting ready to launch their big dump on Hillary

I just want it to hurry up and happen. Even though just like how Trump supporters don't care when something bad comes out about their daddy, the HRC supporters won't care.

I doubt wikileaks will have the balls to drop serious shit on either of the tards.

He doesn't, that's my point. He got caught up in the same dumb vaccine bullshit everyone else who isn't a nerd did, in a tweet two years ago and people act like it's a smoking gun.
No, they weren't.

The study had already been discredited as early as 2002 when the results were unable to be duplicated. The Wakefield Paper which started the whole fiasco was retracted by the journal that published it in 2010.

Nor was it a one-off from Trump. He's promoted antivax propaganda repeatedly and publically, including: in 2007 for a Palm Beach periodical; in 2012 on Fox & Friends; during the 2015 Republican Debates; last February on the Hugh Hewett show.

He's held onto this belief with the force of a Nickolodeon starlet biting down on a pillow while in a room alone with Dan Schneider. Robert Kennedy, Jr. wasn't this flagrant with his antivax advocacy, and he was justifiably keel-haul'd for his shit.

If you think that's bad I can't imagine what you must think of Hillary 'Super Predators' Clinton.
Everyone in the thread has brought up that Hillbot is a race-baiting bitch. It's true. It's awful. Those self-important MSM cowards' refusal to discuss such things is the reason someone like Trump has any chance at beating her.

No one that cruel should be trusted with power. Neither should someone equally cruel and significantly dumber.

I'm not saying don't criticise Trump, I'm saying there is better shit to nail him on than this.
This'd be disqualification grounds for Jill Stein's VP pick.

How good a link is that? I'm not trying to be pedantic, but American banks launder money for cartels and terrorist groups all the goddamn time.
I'm not saying he's a benefactor of jihadists, but its the sort of shit that he doesn't need right now. Even if this was the cleanest bank ever, this looks bad if only because of our embargo against them.

Wikileaks' most damning document leak this election was the DNC email collective. No hype, no warning, and no spin. Assange and co. are impuslive. Remember when he immediatly released that Iraq helicopter video after making inpromtu redactions?
Not to mention, we've caught them making a nontroversy as early as a month ago. Assange hyped up having the dirt on Clinton that would be released before the first debate. How about when he had documents that would land people at Bank of America in jail? Been only 5 fucking years since that was promised. He also canceled his last "bombshell" announcement.

Meanwhile, people are reminded of Trump's own lecturing of the "little people"

"Man with tree in his eye tweets about people with specks of sawdust in their own."

Only thing that could be uglier would be if some favorite son of a GOP idol lashed against Trump.

I checked, its the conservative son...the president of the Reagan Legacy Foundation.

I'm sorry...what the fuck?

The only other politician I've heard of that's promoted anti-vax stuff was Michelle Bachman. Michelle Bachman. Who is much crazier than the average citizen. Do you have any data other than anecdotal that showed most people thought vaccines caused autism?

What you refuse to understand is there's still a chance. Do any of those percentages read 100%?

I don't think he's refusing to understand that there's still a chance, just that the odds are not in his favor. But your general point is completely correct and one that's very often naturally overlooked. It's actually a warning that Nate Silver makes time and time again yet one that smart people on both sides never really pay attention to because they desire certainty in their information and because we as humans have inherent problems with interpreting probability accurately and usefully (https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-our-brains-do-not-intuitively-grasp-probabilities/.)

If Clinton has, say, an 85% chance of winning a state it seems like she's a shoe-in. But the chance of Trump winning that state is still 1/6. Russian roulette is a dangerous game.

Right now Silver is predicting an overall Clinton victory, but with significantly lower probabilities ranging from 65% to 75% depending on the model. Trump supporters call bullshit while ignoring that he's basically saying it's Russian roulette but with two bullets in the cylinder instead of just one. If Trump wins then Clinton supporters are going to blame Silver for being "wrong" like they did in 2014. (I'm sure it grinds his gears somewhat but he's a data nerd with a website, not a pundit with a TV show.)

And why is Ohio and Florida not there? You ACTUALLY are suggesting she can win without either of those states?
It's an arithmetic problem that can be informed by probability. Look at it this way: a candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win. In the last election Barack Obama won 332. He won both Florida and Ohio. But let's say he had lost both those states. He still would have won with 285 votes and more to spare.

Play around with this: http://www.270towin.com/

It's true, a lot of people can't handle it. Why do you think there's so many suicides in the military and for discharged veterans? Are you saying we don't need more mental health treatment for our military people, who are still in and those who are out?

I'm sorry you were tricked into thinking it's patriotic to be forced into slave labor for the government with the threat of imprisonment, but it's not.
