Alibaba, AliExpress, DHGate, Wish, Taobao, Temu & more! - CHEAP CHINK SHIT GENERAL THREAD

Are these the little bookshelf ones? I've been wanting to see one actually put together by a normal person.
no, they’re the tiny room ones! like these:

The bookshelf ones are a bit pricier, so i just bought a shit ton of the small room ones. I have a lot to do. I’d like to the bookshelf ones eventually but I don’t know where I would put them yet. I don’t even know where to put the kits I already made.

Also, lol at a user who posts exclusively on this website under the persona of Humbert Humbert being called a “normal person” (what did you mean by that, anyways? who else is making these kits?)

To be honest I haven't looked terribly hard, but the most I've seen are either ads by the Temu sellers themselves or those temu deal hoarder unboxings.

Came across this cheap model of the iconic bike from Akira:

The proportions are off, so it really looks "kinda special". Far be it from me to buy anime figures, but I almost want to get this one just because of how silly it is.

Here's an official model for comparison:

Anyone use Miss A? It's beauty products from $1.00 - $1.88. I read some really good revues surprisingly, so I just order about $40 worth of products. I'll let you know how it goes.
I've been buying from them for years - they take forever to ship stuff but I've never had any major complaints re: the actual products once I get them.

The completed models keep appearing on my local Marketplace. I don't know if it's the same seller each time though.

I buy a lot from AliExpress, some things I've had luck with:

  • Designer women's clothing brands (e.g. Toteme, Zadig & Voltaire, MaxMara, Theory, Maje, Sandro, Nanushka). I am 90% sure that it is grey market. I had a Nanushka jacket and Toteme blouse pass verification for one of the reseller sites and it was resold. Oops? Just search for the brand, you'll find several stores. They get deleted frequently, though.
  • 1/6th realistic figures. I have a badass knight lady on my bookshelf.
  • Crafting supplies. YMMV, but I wanted to donate a lot to a local school. $500 probably decked out that school for 2 years or more.
  • Gym clothes. There is a ripoff store for influencer brands called "Buffbunny Collection Store" Identical quality if you're into buttcrack leggings. I like the sports bras and cringe Darc Sport shirts.
  • Swarovski crystals. Swarovski stopped selling crystals to consumers because they're assholes, but 'European crystals' (as they're called on AE) are identical in sparkle and color.
  • Cat supplies. PETKIT's litter robot is 10000x better than the real Litter Robot. Cat trees seem harmless. I won't touch things like catnip though.

No luck with:
  • Fake designer jewelry, e.g. Chanel or Gucci. The plating is ugly and the wrong color. The crystals are cheap. You will embarrass yourself if you wear it.

I actually got my stuff sooner then expected and most of the products are what I expect of $1 store (sometimes worse)
-tools are A+, better then dollar store and more selection
-eyeshadows all sparkly even when stated "matte"
-2/3 face masks dried out
-lip products decently good and long lasting
-foundation is meh quality
-setting powder is fantastic
-primers all suck

I am very tempted to buy these and see if they are any good, they are like $12 dollars or so
Check the reviews, and keep in mind too that a lot of sellers will sell genuine items, but will offset their costs by sending occasional fake or seconds out, using the other positive reviews to hide the negative ones. If you have the extra money to gamble with, it might be worth a shot.

Honestly, even if it was Amazon, I wouldn't buy them since Arttrack isn't that good of a brand to work with. If you want some quality, affordable colored pencils, I would check out the Cezanne Colored Pencil from Jerrys Artarama. They actually have a 24 set on sale for $15 and, while there might not be "as many colors", the colors you do get are going to appear a lot better on paper. Of course, if you want a 72 pack, than I would at least look for Brutfuner branded colored pencils.

I decided to order them, I can spare 12 dollars and see if they are any good. I also ordered a new box of markers because I gave away my old ones to my friend's son. It says fast shipping so I expect them by the end of the month at the latest

I got a knock off pair of KNIPEX Cobra style pillars for $4.
Haven't used them yet but they seem legit.

Something I like about Temu is if something arrives damaged you just fill out a online form, send them a few pics and they give you credit almost instantly.

I am a sucker for metal signs from gas stations.
I have ordered a few.
They just throw them in a plastic bag and send them on their way.

Needless to say a few have arrived damaged.
I go through the form and now I have a few slightly damaged but free metal signs.

The quality on the signs ranges from really good to not so good.
Some manufactures apparently start with a tiny image and then blow it up to sign size.
Those signs are good to mount up high in the garage.
From a distance they look OK.
If you get with in 10 feet you see how jagged the lines are.

I have grabbed some stickers for my welding helmets.
The quality is fair and they are stupid cheap.

As a side note. it has been fun to see what other Kiwis buy.
Who knew we had so many creative types here?

Custom big eyed 70's dolls, custom action figures, electronics, needle point, sewing and others I don't remember.

For a bunch of alleged basement dwellers that just feed of off the pain of others, we sure have some varied interests

I've had good experiences with Jackly bit drivers. I have a portable electronics screwdriver I keep in my preparedness bag at work, and some more sets at home. They don't harden the bits but for what I use them for that's no problem. I also have pic related as my non-electronics screwdriver in my work preparedness kit, albeit with a different set of bits. I paid like $3 or so for it and it works great. Magic word for this one is "L-shaped screwdriver" if you're interested. They take standard bits with a solid lockup. Nice for light-duty sorts of things like assembling a chair etc., just choose your bit selection wisely.

Before they got overpriced I really loved James Donkey mice. I still have a JD keyboard with Gateron blacks as a backup.

Ganzo makes good knives. I have one of their models that's a knockoff of a Paramilitary 1 with an axis lock, I paid like 15 bucks for it and it has very good build quality with okay steel (440C).

When fidget cubes were the fad I bought several knockoffs for a couple bucks each and every single one had a single thing wrong with it, which was different for each cube. Hilarious.

I exclusively buy my phone cases off Aliexpress, I spend like $3 apiece and they're all great.

I got a 2kg scale that runs off AAA batteries for weighing various EDC items and Aliexpress purchases and it works great. Also got cheap digital calipers that do the job nicely, various little pouches and cases (Maxped knockoff pouch for $7, just as good as the real deal), spudgers, Mixza micro SD cards (I think they might be overpriced now though), one time I bought a Famiclone and I was able to get it for free because cartridges were a REALLY tight fit, so I sent them a video of me pulling really hard to remove a cartridge and I got a full refund, still works great though. I've also bought stuff like lighted loupes (highly recommended, they're dirt cheap and work great, just make sure to get the ones that take AAA batteries) and various charging cables.

I don't buy as much chinky stuff as I did 5-8 years ago but it was very fun.

I'm growing my hair out. It's just shoulder length now. Long enough to wear up with clips. I ordered a bunch of pretty clips this morning, along with another pair of earbuds, and some rainbow colored fake gems jewelry. the bracelet cost me less than two dollars.

Some of the stuff I ordered. I ordered some heart shaped rings from Aliexpress earlier this morning to use as knitting stitch markers and 1,000 "Lego" bricks for my husband. I must say since Temu launched Aliexpress has upped their shipping game. Orders used to take a month or now, now two weeks or less. I love it.

Anyone on here used ROMWE yet? I love Ali for random small shit or house decorations, but the clothes I want, are always awful. I'm not interested in SheIn since it does not deliver to me.

I've used Romwe a bunch. I swear it's owned by the same people as Shein, or related, because I got several orders from Romwe with multiple items in Shein bags.

Clothes are still hit-and-miss. I got some items from Romwe (and Shein) that were trash. Like, the worst one was an orange sundress that literally felt like it was made of plastic. It was awful. But I have a bunch of oversized, boyfriend fit shirts from Romwe that I've worn for a couple years now and really love. They've held up well. Buy things that have reviews already, and even better if they have pics in the reviews.
