Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

some common sense is present I guess, its not worth taking the risk against a country that has missile wizards using scramjets or miniature nuclear reactors powering missiles.

quite an early set up, ehh?

I wonder how many they'll send only to stop once they realize they just get blown up?
Millions must die, they don't care. Remember, they're all part of the WEF who believe there are too many people on Earth as it is.
US wouldn't last two months in Ukraine.jpg
Even if you knock it down to 3k casualties its still over a million US in one year.

S. Chemezov: it is necessary to restore the production of A-50 AWACS aircraft

02/29/2024, 19:00

The resumption of production of the A-50 long-range radar detection and control aircraft (AWACS) is necessary, since they are necessary for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and have high export potential. General Director of the Rostec State Corporation Sergei Chemezov said this on the sidelines before the annual address of the President of the Russian Federation to the Federal Assembly, which took place on February 29 in Gostiny Dvor.

“Of course, this plane needs to be restored. Of course, we will make it, it is needed not only for our army, but also for export,”leadsTASS response from the head of Rostec to a journalist’s question about plans to resume production of the A-50.

The A-50/A-50U aircraft are used for detecting, tracking and identifying air, ground and surface targets, transmitting data to command centers, as well as for targeting fighters and front-line aircraft to target targets.

All A-50 combat aircraft are part of the air group of the 610th Center for Combat Use and Retraining of Flight Personnel of the 4th State Center for Aviation Personnel Training and Military Testing. In total, as of January 1, 2024, the Aerospace Forces included 15 A-50M and A-50U aircraft.

A-50U are the “eyes” of the Aerospace Forces, this is an important component for the effective use of aircraft missiles, precision bombs, as well as Kalibr, Kh-101 and Kh-555 cruise missiles against air defense facilities, transport infrastructure and other military targets deep in the territory of Ukraine . A-50U are used both for preparing missile strikes and for assessing their effectiveness. It is also known that these aircraft are of key importance in the tasks of timely long-range interception of Ukrainian MiG-29 and Su-27 before they reach the limits of using AGM-88B HARM anti-radar missiles on the radars of Russian air defense systems.

The Shmel-M radar systems installed on A-50U aircraft detect Ukrainian fighters at a distance of up to 500 km, giving target designation to the crews of MiG-31BM interceptors, and Su-35 and Su-57 fighters. Largely thanks to AWACS aircraft, Ukrainian Su-27 and MiG-29 are shot down at a distance of up to 250 km by R-37M air-to-air missiles.

In 2003-2008, work began on modernizing the A-50, which resulted in the A-50U version. Currently, a new AWACS aircraft, the A-100 Premier, is being created, which uses the platform of the Il-76MD-90A aircraft and a modern radio

The T-54B was inept firing on the move, as we saw in Iraq. Pre-electronic gyroscope stabilizers were garbage. The US field-tested them on Shermans during WWII and concluded they weren't worth the expense. You had to stop to fire at long range anyway, so you had an expensive, complicated, fragile piece of equipment that had limited utility to begin with. However, adding a ballistics computer and a laser range finder to a stabilizer and automated turret control was a generational leap in tank technology.

T-54B stabilization was actually reliable. But you are right it offered no real capability to fire on the move. Percentage was very minuscule of hitting a target. If i remember the manual correctly.

I think falco misremembering here the T-54B with T-62's. Which actually could fire on the move.

Those are 2010s refurbs, so deep into the digital era. But yes, Russia has ballistics computers and lasers now.

You mean since 1974.

Are western tank crews trained to waste shots firing on the move? I was told tankers use the stabilisation to aim while on the move, then brake, fire, and drive off again, because even though the modern systems give you 90% chance to hit while on the move, that 10% of a miss still puts you more in danger of being hit before the tank reloads than if you'd just stop and shoot while 100% accurate.

They'll saber rattle about fighting Russia but no one with actual power is going to risk nuclear annihilation
A reminder, in case you needed it, that the east coast elite tested nuclear weapons up-wind of Las Vegas, tested biological warfare on SF, and were perfectly fine with lobotomizing wayward Kennedy daughters if they get too uppity.

Don't even ask about eugenics.

If you are holding on to the notion that the Cathedral gives one flying fuck about your life, I suggest you get terminally drunk and listen to whalesong or some shit.

They really don't give a shit

Edit: I feel I should point out they all have property NOT in the US, be it NZ or AUS or Fiji or fucking Chile.

Wall Street Journal revealed the details of the treaty torpedoed by Boris Johnson.

The 17-page document states that Ukraine is not allowed to join military alliances such as the North Atlantic Alliance and no foreign weapons will be allowed on the country's territory.

According to the draft agreement, dated April 15, 2022, the Ukrainian army is to be reduced to a certain size. The Russian side also insisted that the Russian language be used equally with Ukrainian in the government and courts, but Kiev did not sign this clause of the agreement.

In addition, Crimea would remain Russian and would not be considered neutral. The agreement did not contain clauses on the territory of the regions that will later join Russia in September 2022 as a result of referendums. This issue was supposed to be discussed by the heads of state Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky during the talks, but they did not take place.

How much of a missile defense system does Russia openly have? Could they be confident enough that they could shoot down all nukes hearing towards Moscow?
Russia probably has the advantage that a higher percentage of their nukes actually work and will hit the target, but admittedly that's still a huge gamble

AFAIK they might shoot down nuclear missiles or planes carrying nukes, but an incoming (reentry phase) MIRV is a different animal, and to my knowledge no one has reliable ways to kill one.
I mean, if you have problems shooting down a _hypersonic_ missile, then you ought to have problems against a maneuvering, armored warhead surrounded by decoys and chaff coming at you at ~8km/s?

I think that he was talking about ammo. But I'm assuming that DU means "Depleted Uranium."

Yes, depleted uranium, which I think is misleading - it's the not-so-radioactive U-238 left from enrichment.
VERY dense and heavy, that's why it's used as penetrators and armor. Tungsten AFAIK is used mainly as penetrator for the same reason.
The main reason it's controversial is not because of radiation, but because when it's fired and impact, it leaves very toxic heavy metal particles around.

Exactly this. DU is (almost) the heaviest of heavy metals. How would you feel about breathing in monatomic lead? Or snorting plutonium? Have a shot of mercury?

The problem with depleted uranium is not the radiation (the clue's in the name) it's with the toxic, satanic, turbo-lead you are now gulping down by the lung full.

Politicope says Macron is a stupid frog.

Ukraine’s in a dire position. Macron’s gaffe made things worse.

According to French officials, Macron’s comments were meant to galvanize Western powers and ignite debate over what’s needed to prevent a Russian victory. According to an Elysée aide, they were also meant “to send a strong strategic message to the Russians to say: ‘Don’t do anything stupid.’” (Apparently said without a hint of irony.)

But if the French leader’s remarks were meant to send a firm warning to the Kremlin, they failed spectacularly — in fact, they achieved the complete opposite. To the Kremlin’s chortling delight, Macron’s comments exposed Western splits and rifts, communicating panic over the military state of play in Ukraine.

And Russian officials rushed forward to ridicule Macron. Former President and current Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev mocked him for “verbal incontinence,” while Chairmen of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said the French leader’s “loud statements” had “horrified the residents of his country and the leaders of a number of European states.” It sure did.

TL: DR - Instead of scaring Putin into submission Macron revealed that NATO is opposed to taking action so badly that Putin may now be tempted to solve the Baltics question once and for all just to stop the incessant yapping.

And now after everyone told the grannyfucker to fuck off he's still running with it.

Emmanuel Macron affirmed Thursday, February 29 that each of his words on Ukraine was “weighted” and “measured” after his comments on the potential sending of ground troops in the country , which earned him a dismissal. of its main allies and a scathing response from Vladimir Putin.

“These are sufficiently serious subjects. Each of the words I say on this matter is weighed, thought out and measured,” he declared during the inauguration of the Olympic Village of the Paris Games in Saint-Denis.

Oh yeah and that made me remember the Summer Olympics are going to be in Paris. I hear somewhere that there's going to be a swimming race in the Seine, which is an open sewer. I can't wait for the West to demonstrate its wealth and prosperity and unparalleled ability to organize a couple of fucking races. Hopefully some Eritreans start a riot again and rape an Israeli team to death, that would be fucking perfect.

I also saw elsewhere that Estonian and Lithuanian politicians are the only ones who made some noises agreeing with Mr. Oedipus here. As always, the chihauhas bark the loudest.
