Lake Oswego dad accused of drugging girls at sleepover - I got tired of posting about troons doing this and deliberately found one that was not

A 57-year-old man is accused of drugging three 12-year-old girls with sedative-laced smoothies during his daughter’s sleepover last summer at his Lake Oswego home, court records show.

Michael Meyden turned himself in to the Clackamas County Jail late Tuesday on multiple felony and misdemeanor allegations and pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Wednesday in Clackamas County Circuit Court. His bail was set at $50,000.

Meyden laced mango smoothies with benzodiazepine and served the drinks to his daughter’s friends, according to a probable cause affidavit written by Lake Oswego police Detective Nicole Palmeri. Benzodiazepine is a depressant that slows the nervous system.

The affidavit doesn’t explain a motive.

Meyden faces charges including causing another person to ingest a controlled substance and application of a controlled substance to the body of another person.

Mark Cogan, Meyden’s lawyer, said he had not seen evidence in the case.

“Mr. Meyden is presumed innocent and we hope that people will reserve judgment until all of the facts and circumstances are known,” Cogan said.

The investigation began Aug. 26 when Lake Oswego police were called to the emergency room at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel in Portland where three girls tested positive for benzodiazepine.

The girls told police they attended a Saturday sleepover at their friend’s home and they suspected they had “unknowingly been given drugs by their friend’s father,” according to the affidavit. They described feeling groggy, even blacking out.

They told police Meyden had been “very involved” with their activities during the sleepover and they “got ready for bed at Mr. Meyden’s direction,” Palmeri wrote.

The girls spent most of the time in the basement, where they watched movies and “did facials,” according to the affidavit.

Sometime between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., Meyden prepared the smoothies “and insisted they drink them,” the girls told police. The drinks had “tiny white chunks throughout and sprinkled on top,” the affidavit says.

One of the girls said she didn’t like smoothies and declined to drink hers, but Meyden insisted, even making a second one for her to try, Palmeri wrote.

The record is redacted; it is unclear who the detective is referring to when she describes their accounts.

According to the affidavit, Meyden made repeated visits to the basement, at one point holding his finger under one girl’s nose and waving his hand in front of her face to see if she was asleep.

He also moved one girl’s arm and moved her body on the bed, the affidavit says. The girl “remained awake in fear that Mr. Meyden was going to do something” to her friend, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit says Meyden walked out of the room, prompting a girl to text her mother at 1:43 a.m. Sunday: “Mom please pick me up and say I had a family emergency. I don’t feel safe. I might not respond but please come get me (crying emoji), Please. Please pick up. Please. PLEASE!!”

Meyden returned to the basement again, standing near the area where the girls were sleeping for what seemed like an extended period of time, Palmeri wrote.

One girl told police “she could feel him watching her by his presence as she kept her eyes shut, pretending to be asleep.” Meyden appeared to keep “doing tests to make sure we weren’t awake,” a girl told Palmeri.

In the middle of the night, an adult who one of the girls had texted came to pick her up and bring her home. The girl then woke up her parents, who then contacted the parents of the other girls, according to the affidavit.

Those parents went to the Meyden home about 3 a.m. to collect their daughters.

Meyden resisted at first, saying the girls were asleep and asking the parents to return in the morning, Palmeri wrote. The parents insisted, she wrote.

At noon the following day, between nine and 12 hours after the girls had allegedly been drugged, Palmeri interviewed one of them, observing that the girl “walked slowly and used the assistance of her mother for balance, her eyelids were heavy, and she spoke slowly.”

The girl recalled she felt “woozy, hot and clumsy” after drinking the smoothie and subsequently blacked out, falling into a “‘thick, deep sleep’ that she had never experienced before,” according to the affidavit.

The girl could not walk on her own after she left Meyden’s house and kept repeating “what happened” before her parents decided to take her to the hospital, Palmeri wrote.

Court records show Meyden and his wife divorced late last year; they owned a home in Lake Oswego at the time of the sleepover.

Neither of their two children is named as a victim in the indictment. Court records list Meyden’s current address as an RV park in Vancouver.

The divorce filing notes that Meyden worked as a human resources director but was out of work at the time he and his wife split up.

Seems like some of you are way more open to this guys story then I am—to me, it sounds like he would have been molesting those kids if the girl hadn’t gotten that text out. Imagine a text from your child:” please come pick me up I might not respond but please I’m not safe “. Jesus! whole story is creepy as hell.
The standing there watching them sleep bit is really weird. Sounds like he was working up his courage to do something nefarious.

So am I to understand that we have a situation where 3 girls either were possibly poisoned by an adult,
and some lady detective fucked up recording their testimonies?

If the father did just think that they were noisy, half an Ibuprofen would have knocked each of them out pretty effectively. Instead he used fucking benzos.
Or just going and telling them to keep the noise down. I’ve often got a house full of kids who’ve come over for tea / games/ to hang out and empty the fridge and they are often noisy. If I need them to be quiet I tell them to cut the noise. Only once have I ever had to do more than a reminder and a round of snacks for bribery, and all I needed to do was say I’d cut the wifi. Dude was up to no good.

That’s bizarre author commentary, but Oregon so go figure.

Standard practice to redact information about underage victims. The author SHOULDN’T be able to say which girl was doing what, let alone before it even goes to trial
Yeah, if they would've had a period in place of the semicolon, I would've assumed it was just because of the ages of the victims.
I thought it was implying like their entire testimonies were redacted :story:

If someone's alone in a house with a bunch of kids and they all wind up date rape drugged, pretty sure that we don't need Sherlock Holmes to navigate the subtle labyrinth of clues to reach the truth. If the guy himself had called 911 saying kids got into his meds and later they said he'd given them rape smoothies I might suspect some collusion, but he tried to keep the other parents from getting the kids back when they showed up. Get the rope.

All this thread does is prove that @Android raptor has a point about you chuds. If this was a tranny none of these absolutely retarded excuses would even have been thought of never mind posted.

>they probably stole the drugs and are trying to blame the old guy
lol, lmao.
It's the Thunderdome, unless it's a troon or gay man there's always tards who will rush to defend sexual predators. See any thread I've made about pedo pastors.

Fuck. Yeah, I didn't read that far.

Then he should say that, if he just wanted them to shut the fuck up he had no reason to keep going down there putting his fingers in their faces. It makes it seem to me like he was going to jerk off or something.
More likely he actually wanted to make them shut the fuck up but he also was worried that he drugged them so hard they would die in their sleep, which would deserve a prison sentence anyways. He’d be in a lot less trouble if he used Benadryl or Dramamine like a normal person and not Xanax
Look at this motherfucker's color and expressions in every photo of him. He has enough benzodiazepines in that house to do a colonoscopy on an African bull elephant. And that's probably one of the less horrifying videos you'd find if you checked his hard drive.

The red pill shit has melted some of you motherfuckers’ brains.

If he just wanted them to be quiet, cause what, they were keeping him up? Then why would he keep creeping down into the basement past 1 am, touching them and shit.

I guarantee the girl who was awake and texting for help was the one who didn’t want to drink her rape smoothie.

I’m mad at the internet, but fuck you speds for making excuses
Worst of all, I hate every one of these fags for making AR look like she has a point.

Anyone in this thread making excuses for the dad needs a hard drive check.
Just scrolling down the page muttering "so noted."

I treat any male in a career HR role with extreme suspicion. The personality types required for a guy to last that long in that field correlate to wayyy too many antisocial behaviors.
Yeah I was only partially joking when I said it makes him functionally a troon. A middle aged married man in that job is one reddit post from putting on a wig.
