In response to the guy on the previous page, it's an alright way to feel about the site and I to harbor suspicion and view me as an evil demon being predatory towards people, as the imageboard space on every board is infected with users and staff that are like that. The methods I took to get rid of one of those people from his administration are absolutely morally grey, and it is very easy to go off of that and begin doubting all of the drama before and after my various administrations. There are things that I've seen that stick with me until I go to sleep each night, and many days go by wondering if anything that was ever done on the site a good idea. Trees falling in the forest are still heard and remembered, sometimes for months and years.

Yet there is a reason behind the "suffering", if you want to use a really loaded phrase like that. The stuff I did was done with the purpose of removing a deranged individual from the site. After gaining his trust, reporting illegal content posted by him and others to the authorities in the attempt to inform the authorities of what had been happening, doing our own investigation seperate from kf and the users into these people, taking the site, removing it from his server, and handing ownership to someone else uninvolved with the situation, I can't really say in my mind I did anything wrong.

There are ugly moments where I publicly and privately said some stuff I didn't mean in order to achieve that goal. There are personal friends of mine that attempted to sign up to help me handle this problem who have more to lose than me (all of which are warned of what may happen to them appropriately), and judging by kuz continuing to post on the site this is the direction he'd like things to go. Beyond that and the things I mentioned in the wiki, I really have absolved myself of all culpability from "the network".

The popular splinter and offsite opinion is to just turn the site off, but that solves zero problems and only dumps our issues onto those same communities. I'd be turning off the site for selfish reasons, the groups posting illegal content on the site move on to the next community and rape the corpse of the splinters (which do not possess knowledge of the legal system, stable leadership, site infrastructure, the csambuster capability, and more importantly the trust of the soymunnity). You may hate the little buddy gaga googoo shit, but it's born out of a respect from the users for the administration of the site. The response I get when I join a game or post in a thread or appear on a stream is exactly that, a lot of love and willingness to help me with problems. It's a great motivator and you are lying if you'd say you would be a curmudgeon and hate everybody for being nice to you.

My lunch break is about over, and I expect no one to read any of this or understand it the way I do. My hope is one day the sacrifices made on behalf of funny greentext cobson wojacky site will be ACKnowledged and silently ignored after that instead of this obsession with people on the site and the meta around them. It has activity, but its tanking and most of the posts are trash. And they aren't even the funny trash that I used to be able to enjoy.
