Dildo Saggins laboring under the delusion of setting up a brothel in some old mining town holds merit. He mentioned the Goldfield Hotel in a deranged rant recently. Goldfield is a mining ghost town with a lot of abandoned buildings, many which are just the exterior walls with nothing left inside. I'm guessing Russ has this mental image of all these abandoned towns out in the Nevada desert with streets filled with locked up buildings in excellent shape, just waiting for some entrepreneurial young man to come along, set up shop, and bring new life to these old towns. He's obviously never actually been to any of these old mining towns. Some of them are so rough that the only thing left is rubble and building foundations. Literal Fallout: New Vegas stuff, which is what influenced the making of that game in the first place.

To be fair, buying an old hut for 30 grand and sticking some low quality whores in it may be the closest thing to a realistic plan he's ever had. At least he might officially be a pimp. It won't be successful and may never even open for business but still.

His whole thing with the Wild West brothel seemed like he was counting on that vote to allow prostitution to expand into the historic old west district of Goldfield so he could open a whorehouse among all the other tourist attractions.

Surely getting a mortgage for a 30k property (I think the other one went for 35k) would be doable even for Russ. He's not rich but usually employed. I'd imagine he'd never get it up and running or in a decent state, but that's still one step further than he's ever gotten in life.

If you have no credit history, like Russhole, many lenders simply won't take the risk and liability of approving someone for a loan. Even a relatively small one. It seems to be a running theme with Shit-Lips: too much of a liability for law firms to hire and credit lenders to approve.

If Rusty has any credit history, it is for sure on the wrong side of the tracks. I would almost guarantee he has had some credit cards and not paid them and had things go to collections. Just about anyone can get a credit card, maybe not one with a big limit or low interest, but still they can get one at some point.
