Flicking through this thread to remind myself about South Africa, the situation is dire. A guy that I know from South Africa but not necessarily on close terms with mentioned that he would be visiting South Africa for a couple of weeks in a bit. I just gave him the boilerplate small talk 'oh that's nice' but internally I was thinking WHY? I don't know I understand the draw of visiting where you were born but South Africa just comes off to me as a inopportune place to be if you're white, let alone choosing to visit.

I could sperg away to the brink of powerlevelling about this particular topic, but to keep it short-ish, pretty much the only way to relocate to Europe as a white Saffa in this day and age is if one of your parents was savvy enough to keep or claim their British or Dutch citizenship while they still could. Most of the rest (those who a) don't have EU/UK passports since birth, or a still-valid claim to them and b) have valid fears, but haven't been direct victims just yet) fall into a sort of grey area where their backgrounds and particular circumstances will be deemed not fucked up enough to qualify for refugee status, and will most likely get denied.

Maybe the Wilders government could be more sympathetic if there's some sort of major happening as a consequence of the elections and either eases up on the requirements for Afrikaner asylum applicants or straight up creates some sort of special pathway waiving both the Dublin Protocol and the way the Dutch asylum system works as a whole (like the one used for the Ukrainians). But that's nearly delusional thinking on my behalf.

As far as I'm aware, foreigners can't own agricultural land in Russia.
