Already content ID has been proposed as a means of controlling for the difference of AI images/videos and 'natural' images/videos, when really it's a tagging system to categorize content produced by people to not only identify who is responsible for creating/publishing a piece of media, but also for ease of convenience to the AI meant to spot the media.

There will then be hate speech legislation passed in every country except the U.S., but the U.S. having no formal hate speech laws doesn't matter because the point is to globally leverage these foreign laws against social media companies.

With the hate speech legislation, media AI and content ID all in hand, the best AI will then govern all speech on the Internet as a global moderator of the Internet. There will be no anonymity on the Internet.

My own opinion on this would be: Probably not. These people are desperate and scared now, which means things aren't going to plan already, which in turn means that given the sort of stuff they'd need to do in order to radically change the world and make it stick, they just can't hope to pull it off.

The question then becomes, how much damage can they do in the meantime? And I don't really have an answer to that.

Putting an Indian in an executive position, somewhere where they can control any hiring, will kill a business dead. Gatekeeping them out of any endeavor is reasonable.

There's been many instances of this sort of thing working for a while. A generation or two. It never works for long because these types of people fundamentally cannot conceptualize the worldview of people who disagree with them, and have a fundamentally flawed view of humanity in general. Who knows how adding modern tech to the mix is gonna work.

Since they are now calling for "common sense speech restrictions" a-la "common sense gun control" it really does feel like they're on a timeline and fuck our reaction to it, they need to get some of these laws and culture shifts through before 2030 and Trump fucked the timeline up hard.
