One person was shot during a gunfight with police outside of Six Flags Over Georgia, just after an “unruly” crowd of people sparked a massive brawl during the park’s opening day on Saturday.

Cobb County Police responded to the amusement park just outside of Atlanta around 6 p.m. — two hours before the park closed — to help deal with a crowd fighting and causing problems inside the gates.

“A sizeable unruly crowd” of approximately 500 to 600 guests were “running through the park and fighting,” the Cobb County Police said in a statement to WSB-TV.

Social media footage obtained by Fox 5 Atlanta captured nearly a dozen people kicking and punching a person on the ground before several ran away, leaving the beaten-up individual lying motionless.

An unknown number of suspects fired shots at police as security pushed the crowd out of the park.

The officers reportedly fired back, striking one person.

The individual, whose condition is not known, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in Downtown Atlanta, approximately 11 miles east of the shooting.

The park confirmed the shooting but said it did not occur on Six Flags property.

“There was police activity involving gunshots; we want to confirm there was no shooting at our property or parking lot,” the statement obtained by the outlet read. “This took place on South Service Road that is not owned or operated by Six Flags.”

“However, we join our community and the Atlanta region in our commitment to safety and security. We won’t put up with that type of activity here.”

The park blasted the “underaged youth” behavior and how it disrupts community events.

“It is incredibly disappointing that our community is disrupted at public events throughout the region by groups of underaged youth. Just like other venues in the area, we are committed to keeping this type of trouble outside our park and off our property.”

“Our goal is to provide safe, fun entertainment. We employ state of the art security systems and metal detection, maintain a robust and vigilant Public Safety Department, and have strong support from Cobb County Police who are present both inside and outside the park. Every guest is expected to follow our strict code of conduct and anyone unwilling to follow that code of conduct is unwelcome.

Six Flags Over Georgia opened its doors for the 57th season on Saturday at 11 a.m.

A parkgoer who was in line for the opening disputed part of the park’s claim of security, saying they entered the park without being searched.

“My bag wasn’t even checked, we were simply told to go through to the entrance,” Liam Thompson told FOX 5 Atlanta.

It was not immediately clear if any arrests were made in connection to the shooting or the large crowds inside the park.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has taken over the investigation of the shooting.

Sometimes I wonder if they're enjoying themselves when they're doing things like this. They seem angry but maybe they're actually excited and happy because otherwise why do it? I guarantee more than half of those niggers had no idea why the guy was being beaten in the first place. So they just jump in for the.... JOY?
This is part of my theory about Late Capitalists having a different adrenal response. You look at a video of like a fight in an elementary school and there are almost always a couple kids who are so excited they just can't handle it, like they're literally involuntarily jumping around watching two people hit each other. It's like their rational mind (or what passes for one) just goes totally offline.

That is exactly what happened and I believe the CEO of Six Flags flat out said they had to stop the practice cause (black) people were just dumping off teenagers every day.

I can't find the twitter thread but it was about a book on Urban Amusement Parks from the 1950's and every single one basically ending with "And then de-segregation happened, fights broke out, and the park shutdown. "

Apparently they still would try really low prices (feel like $65 is low on its own).
The company was forced to reverse course – at least temporarily – offering dirt cheap season passes this fall for as low as $40 to customers who renewed their memberships, Mick said.
Their pricing confuses me, since I see a monthly pass selling for $5.99 (with $20 initiation fee) while a daily ticket is $59. Had to read it multiple times to understand this was real. Their pricing seriously seems geared to getting everyone into a subscription to the place.

It's no wonder these places are dog shit if they're charging almost nothing to individual customers in order to funnel as many in as they can.

I remember that same twitter thread! It was intense.

I think this is it:

Helen Andrews: This book about the successful struggle to integrate amusement parks ends with a discordantly sad final chapter, in which “the majority of traditional urban amusement parks closed by the late 1960s and early 1970s.” Some stories from the book:

Sample racism:

Olympic Park, Irvington, New Jersey (1903-1965): “Olympic Park remained segregated until the mid-1950s and Newark’s black community felt unwelcome even when they gained access to the park. By 1965, however, young blacks began to take buses to the park to enjoy daylong excursions. On opening day of 1965 a large group of Newark teenagers, numbering perhaps one thousand, arrived at the park. They expected to pay only ten cents per ride, a tradition on opening day that the park owner had eliminated that year. By the evening many had run out of money as a result. Fearing trouble, park officials tried to close early. Guards ushered the angry teenagers from the park, but there were no buses to take them back to Newark because of the early closing time. The crowds then descended on downtown Irvington, shattering some shop windows and frightening pedestrians…

Two weeks after the riot the town council met to discuss denying the park’s license renewal… By the end of the season the owners had sold Olympic Park to land developers, and Newark youth no longer had access to any major amusement parks.”

They should of learned from Knotts. Ever since the mass chimp out that happened a few years ago where the entire park became a hood battleground for a day, they implemented a strict chaperone system that banned anyone under 18 from entering the park unless they had an adult accompany them who signs to be responsible for their actions in the park. Ever since then there was a massive decrease in wildin’ behavior.

Seriously, it's a very poor move to go to any such place in certain areas of the country, like Atlanta, St. Louis, Baltimore, Oakland, etc.

Way back when I was at the alphabet agency, there was an annual Alphabet Agency Day st Kings' Dominion, for just the employees and their families. Heavily attended, you had no fear of such misbehavior, regardless of the race of the attendees. Otherwise, we'd go to Hersheypark, a very nice theme park. Little concern about misbehavior. Haven't been to a theme park in many years and have no desire to go.

When living in San Angelo, TX, there was a small amusement park, Neff's. Remember riding all the rides with my then-toddler daughter. Never any problems. San Angelo had no tolerance for such misbehavior.

Oakland doesn't have amusement parks, the closest thing we ever had was Festival at the Lake, which was great, but then Late Capitalists took over.

This article doesn't Name The Jogger, but it turned into the kind of thing that families stopped going to because there were too many underage youth.

Here is footage of the attack.
It really is like living with a bunch of unpredictable wild animals. Actually, I think you'd literally be safer if you lived somewhere where they just released all the animals from the zoo than you would living anywhere near large concentrations of blacks.

I don't think there is anywhere in the world where the black part of town could be considered "the good part of town", including majority black countries. I wonder what kinda of country we'd live in now if we didn't have to spend literal trillions every year for the care and feeding of niggers.

World's most expensive fuckin' cotton, I can tell you that much...

This is such nigger behavior I can't even understand it. You gang up on a guy 20 vs 1 beat him until he might be dead and all run away like you didn't just kill a guy. How do you just carry on with your day with this looming over you? I'm too white for this...
I saw on documentary on chimps where one chimp without warning got attacked by another chimp, within a couple of seconds the entire pack of chimps was on him tearing the animal apart.
The experts said it seemed entirely random and unprovoked.
Same behavior I'm guessing
