But what's unusual about Rekieta is that he has tremor-at-rest, which most people with ET do not have. Tremor-at-rest in ET is associated with more serious disease and worse outcomes. It's also associated with Parkinson's.

Nick if your are reading ... The prudent thing to do for yourself and you kids would be immediately do a Librium taper to get off the alcohol , and flush those "narcolepsy" stimulant prescriptions, before you do irreversible damage to your midbrain motor system.

There is a decent chance tapering off the alcohol and drugs will improve or resolve your tremor.

But of course you won't do that because you know better than everybody else. And besides, to hell with your wife and kids right?

It reminds me a lot of withdrawl, but it could just as easily be long term damage from everything he's taking. It might even be both; who knows how long he makes his drug supply last? Could be a day, maybe a week, then he crashes, uses alcohol to dull the pain from the withdrawals.
