So the Supreme Court is to rule on the Trump ballot TODAY? Oh that's not good....I can't wait for Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts to once again stab the people of America in the back.
I consider it a good sign. If they wanted to take the unprecedent route of banning a political candidate who hasn't been convicted of the crime he's been accused of, they'd need months to build the case law, manage the arguments, and generally build something that won't get them lynched by the rest of the legal community.

If they can jump on it this quickly, it tells me they're taking a copout "He can run and we won't elaborate further" option, where the bounds of the 14th don't get defined, and they just grab one of the easy procedural outs. I've still got money on "He cannot be disqualified for a federal crime without a conviction from a federal court by a jury of his peers".

Per curiam decision, none of the liberal justices want their names anywhere near a dissent on this one.

A full 9-0 is the biggest "fuck you" the court can give.

The seething from this will be a treasure trove.
Nah, they're going to jump onto the offered morsel hook line and sinker - They point out that congress has to do the thing. Now they're gonna have six months of trying to convince republicucks to shoot themselves in the dick to stop Trump.

Sooner they ruled on it, the sooner they can clear the way for the real important matter - Josh and Hardin's appeal against Russell Greer.

Ruling: "Congress has to make this decision per the constitution, not the Legislative Branch"
Dumbasses: "THEY ARE IGNORING THE CONSTITUTION WITH THIS RULING!"

This is the only accurate take I have seen on this so far, and its entirely right - SC didn't say shit about what he did or didn't do, because their entire point was "Its not our ruling, its Congress that's gotta do it".

>9-0
And this thread spent all of yesterday dooming about how Roberts was going to cuck and it'd be a contested decision.
I don't see how anyone who listened to the rambling shithead former clerk for Gorsuch from Colorado get embarrassed by Gorsuch and every other justice would every think this ruling would be anything worse than 8-1.

My view on the upcoming Fraud-Athon is fairly simple. If they were confident in it they wouldn't be trying to kick Trump off the ballot. Stop and think about it. You have a candidate that the proles absolutely will get behind, that you could 'beat' resoundingly with your mythical control of the ballot box, showing them they have no reason at all to complain. They were "out voted".

The fact they are going so hard to kick Trump off the ballot says that he is a threat to them. Or at least they perceive him as such. The real questions about how it will go down are all about how much they can pull off versus how much can Trump simple overawe those fraud machines. Either way its going to be a fucking -mess-. I am expecting every shenanagin either side can come up with to all happen at once and tor the resulting fallout to take months to clear.
Man, Trump being elected in 16 knocked whatever master plan these types had back 4= years, but they can't change the timeline that old age is pushing on them.

I can't imagine what kind of thermonuclear batshit will occur if he wins again. And well, if they can't rig it away from the American people.
