A weiner poodle mix can't maul you even if it tries. What will a Dachshund do if it wants to bite a person? Nibble at the ankle at worst, but it will never be a threat to one's life unless you put needles filled with Aids on its head or something.

The problem with pitbulls is that they are fucking large and strong, and skizo. If they were the size of a Chihuahua, nobody would give a shit and just punt them.
Seriously. Chihuahuas are even more violent, aggressive, and schizo than shitbulls, with double the (reported, so it's probably way more than this for chihuahuas) dog bite rate, and yet how often do you hear about actually hear about someone being grievously wounded by one.

Still big enough to kill a baby, plus they can still do damage on an adult especially when you factor in the potential for infection. In my experience big dogs, including bullies, aren't usually schizo. That's a category dominated by little dogs.

How often do you hear about someone becoming seriously ill after getting bitten by a cat? You don't really hear about it because it's not as attention-getting, but it definitely happens.

I'll take getting bit by a nonvenomous snake or even bird any day over getting bitten by even a small dog or cat.

you haven't spent enough time around pibbles then

like saying stubbing my toe is lethal because it MIGHT get infected. in all of my time that small dogs have bit me, only once has blood been drawn. and just barely. if it was a pitbull I could be looking at surgery

Dogs and cats have a shitton of bacteria in their mouths and if they make a deep enough puncture wound you can get a bad infection.

Bullies are about like any other large, athletic dogs in my experience. Most common issue I hear ppl talking about with them is them chewing up shit&being destructive b/c they aren't being exercised enough and are spending long periods alone.

small dogs don't bite hard enough to puncture skin most of the time because they aren't trying to kill you, just make you fuck off. this mostly applies to cats
Depends on the dog. My mom's poodle only stopped biting to hurt you after she lost all her teeth (so she became incapable of it. She still tried).

Maybe she got infected because she is not a clean person. Hoe is a weiner dog supposed to reach up to a baby? Or should we expect the funfiechud parent to lather the baby in goat blood and put it a dogbowl? Or that you mistook a weasel for a weiner dog? They are both like sausages...

Since anecdotal evidence is permitted now, I can say as a former weiner dog owner and babysitter, they are hardly schizo or anywhere near the same level of nihilistic insanity as Chihuahuas.

(And even then Chihuahua mixed mitigate the seething hatred depending on the other breed)

They range from OCD divas to happy little campers that love getting carried. And they are couch potatoes.

So I don't know how we got to weiner dogs being little demons.

Anyway dangerous breeds are dangerous for a reason. And we need more smashed and slammed in the thread.

It's because they're designed and bred to actually fight badgers. But that's genuinely a retarded take on the breed. Daschunds are known to be suspicious of strangers, stubborn, and CAN be aggressive, but they're also known for being great dogs in general because they're lively, loyal, and playful. They're as a result a pretty solid family pet, since despite their energy they're not the highest maintenance. Also, they're much more known for being obstinate than they are for causing injury.

Also since they're related to terriers, they tend to get borky.

Classic kiwi fun time: we've decided to shit up the thread by engaging with the known thread destroyer over shitbull talk that already has containment threads.
The issue is that the thread started with "exotic bullies", a less-violent but still retarded-looking cousin of pitbulls, so naturally the thread is going to veer into pitbull sperging.

Lmao at arguing that dogs’ aggression and behavior isn’t genetically driven. Heelers heel. Labradors retrieve. Pibbles eat grannies and babies. They do this regardless of whether their owners have cattle, water fowl, and whether they hug the pibble enough or post enough pictures of it with flower crowns to Instagram.

I knew an older woman that was violently mauled by her neighbor’s pitbulls. By the time law enforcement and EMS arrived, they had begun to eat her. She wasn’t even dead when they started that. It was horrible. Her death was long and ugly and completely unnecessary. And it couldn’t have happened if she had been attacked by daschunds or chihuahuas. There is no function in polite society for pitbulls that isn’t better served by another, less baby-hungry breed. They should all be humanely euthanized and the breed made extinct.

Thread tax: My local shelter claims these are both German shepherds.

There are probably more but I can think of exactly one case I've seen about dachshunds actually killing someone and it was a bunch of them and was a story because it was incredibly unusual. I could name stories about literally dozens of pit bull killings just in the last couple years.

Only about 30 people per year are killed by dogs in the US.

There's also the fact that all square headed dogs tend to get ID'd as pit bulls regardless of whether they actually are.

There are a lot more fatal dog attacks worldwide, particularly in developing countries with big problems with stray dogs. The dogs killing people there aren't any particular breed, they're stray/pariah dogs (I know India alone has a lot, especially with the stray dog population exploding due to the Indian vulture crisis. This has also caused a rise in serious diseases transmitted by dogs like rabies).
