Hbom is British, but Somerton is Canadian, idk if that gives him more access to guns or whatnot.

Canada still lets you own handguns, the UK doesn't. Canada also still allows semi-automatic rifles in centrefire calibres, whereas the most powerful semi-auto you can own in the UK would be something like a Ruger 10/22. On the flip-side, shotguns are much easier to own in the UK as a shotgun certificate is shall-issue as opposed to may-issue for a regular firearms certificate. Overall I'd say they're about comparable to each other in terms of ease of actually getting your hands on a gun, but Canada wins out in terms of the variety of guns you can own.
