A large portion of the moralizing heavy-lifting is probably done by the fact that we are ontologically evil whereas Hbub was (reasonably) calling out universally reprehensible behavior. I don't expect much to happen with Homobomberguy in his own sphere except he may feel a bit bad that he berserk eclipsed a motherfucker so hard with a video essay he killed himself (allegedly, I don't believe that faggot for a second).

The reason people aren't consistent and not admonishing him for James' death (aside from the fact that killing yourself over youtube plagiarism drama instead of getting a job/going for a walk outside is so asinine it feels satirical) is because there is no good will towards the farms, and because terminally online people conflate privately laughing at someone on an internet forum with going after people.

Also Hbomb's video is well crafted in that he builds a thesis that you only plagiarize people you don't respect, and then he shows James plagiarizing LGBTBBQ+ people, which immediately makes him look maximally bad for exactly his audience.

I actually agree partially. It's obvious hbomberguy gets off to the idea of being the smartest guy in the room, and you can see that with any video he does. I recall the whole matthewmatosis situation, where hbomber was getting angsty about how Matthew didn't like Dark Souls 2. And he went out of his way to make sure that Dark Souls 2 was viewed as this amazing game, while dissing Matthew in a (not so) subtle way. Even though all Matthew did was criticize DS2 from his perspective.
