Okay, but this mentality is exactly why Discord is so dangerous. People feel safer in DMs with Kiwi Farms users who are the same Kiwi Farms users who dox people and leak the dumb bullshit they post.

What if they don't post dumb bullshit? There are several users that at this point can be doxed by more or less solving a two piece puzzle. But no one puts in the effort to do that. It's certainly not an ideal situation but that's how it is.

I don't get why the people who don't want to be invited can't just do this. One on one DMsand group DMs aren't the same thing as far as i know.

I think a dm "leave" and "mute" button would be great additions.

I'm not sure if all the details of the DM system but the ability to just decline invites and mute a whole DM chain seems like it'd be a thing. Is it not? Does getting DM'd just force you into a chat every time? Really based if so.

Except for the powerleveling and fear of dox, nobody seems to have much to complain about itt to justify the DM chains vs public posting.

Maybe it's time to start a new mass DM chain where people will surely feel more confortable addressing the real issue?
