I didn't see the initiating post going through the highlights, but it seems like a fun site feature that has some utility in how users interact is being yoinked because a handful of spergs take it way too seriously.

I don't think removing sticker notifs is ultimately a good idea. The purpose of stickers is so that people can hit "Agree" to tell someone you agree, rather than typing a post that goes "I second this" as you so often see on Reddit or 4chan. They're not meant to be a replacement for upvote/downvote but rather a replacement for low-effort posts.

Removing notifications goes against this purpose. I think that rating someone "TMI" should tell them that they're posting TMI, not just whoever reads the post next. Treating it purely as a way to filter posts is basically to treat it like sorting Reddit comments except you do it by eye.

Sure, we can click the post/reaction summary to see what stickers we received, but ultimately nobody is going back to check except the kind of retards who actually get salty over reacts.

I enjoy threads like Autphag, Alex Knapik-Levert, Ikari Tenri and Nikolas Marshall Talbott where the cow freaks out over how their posts are being received. I think killing sticker alerts and sticker scores takes a lot of the fun out of that. It's definitely a measure to curb autism but I enjoy watching the autism unfold.
