Warning to archaeology pupils that 'bones can be scary' sparks fresh fears over cosseted generation of students
  • University College London alerted students that history can be upsetting
  • Those studying archaeologies of modern conflict 'might feel stressed'
  • If they do, they can leave class, as long as they copy someone's notes later

How does even work, in primary (Elementary) school all the way through high school students are taught about things like various wars (Including war crimes such as the holocaust) and the bubonic plague but once they reach university it suddenly becomes so unbearable they have to leave the lecture halls due to stress?

What generation? The "don't smile at my kid or you are a pedo" generation? The "you crossed my line of sexual privacy by bumping into me" generation? Or "you didn't vote for him you racist pig" generation?

God I hope my youngest sibling doesn't get mentally cucked this hard.

The bones are the triggering part of archeology?
I thought it was supposed to be this?

No, just kick them the fuck out of the major. We don't need science getting fucked up with these pathetic losers.

Mmm, from what I understand "archaeologies of modern conflict" covers all conflicts from the advent of camera technology which, in some cases, shows warfare in very very graphic detail.

Doing it in real life sometimes involves actually digging up mass graves from recent times. I know someone who spent a couple years doing that (after school).

If you're not up for it, don't go into the field.

I don't disagree with the warning, just that it shouldn't be "leave and come back" any more than we let medical students just opt out of the gross parts. It should be "if this is a problem GTFO."
