Just finished the arcade game building video and it's just a waste of time. His lack of enthusiasm, the very poor jokes, painful how obvious it was he didn't really want to do this- is he that desperate for views??? Trying to appeal to the crafts side of Youtube??? If he is he's doing a bad job. He made this boring. I'm in the middle of building some steps right now and am more excited to be working on those than he is building this.

Also, I feel he didn't build an arcade machine so much as a display case for a monitor. Why did he only paint it green? The resin trackball is....That was so low effort it hurt. Why not try a few different types of materials to create the trackball instead of just giving up with a vague "it will look nice in a follow up video" statement? He couldn't print off or order some vinyl stickers to decorate the sides, maybe get those cheap LED light strips to decorate it with, or SOMETHING MORE THAN A COAT OF PAINT. There's so many opportunities to make this look cool and he just didn't do that. There's not a drop of creativity in his body.

And why tally up the cost of things? The terrible goal with sound effects thing edited in randomly was depressing. The weird too close to his face camera angles, the dingy lighting, the relatively empty garage- this shit was depressing to watch. It left me feeling down.

I'll give mister Shit-in-pants props for not going with the usual slop that he's been churning out lately, there was atleast some form of effort here... I'd say half assed but maybe quarter assed is more of a fitting description.
Wouldn't it make more sense to make a fighting game arcade machine? Considering they did run two fighting events.

Did Anisa, during those times, seem like a person capable of such forward thinking and planning, and would she have had the willpower to see it through?
I haven't really been following these two for that long, so my understanding of her might be skewed, but I see her as a someone that mostly acts on impulse and looks for instant gratification, like with her OF, her shitty tattoos, her weekly changing skillset and range of hobbies, etc.

tl;dr: I don't think anisa is smart of patient enough to ty and groom ian into her perfect man, and if she had other, better, options she would have bounced.
She does mostly act on impulse, however, Ian's transformation has been years of slow manipulation. I do agree she's not some evil mastermind planning this out, but I think she could've done it subconsciously.

ALERT ALERT NEW BORING VIDEO
Oh look, just like I was saying. MORE TOYS. The nerve to once again boast about how mature you are, only to turn around and make videos on baby goo goo gah gah shit. I could be fair and say that adults can play videogames too and it's cool that he's getting a more hands-on hobby to get him away from his horrible reality and yaddah yaddah, but seeing the response here, I'm guessing he's uninspired. Can't imagine anything more miserable than doing a passion project with no passion.

Anisa being useful for once in her life. They didn't sandpaper the wood
Fucking hell, I legitimately thought it was a fucking man for a second :story: :story: :story: motherfucker looks like she has those Ellen Page "trans joy" "smile" lines

Ian uses Steam to play Super Monkey Ball.
So... I know nothing about arcade machines, but I thought that the main draw to them is that they play better than any port? Like they're more responsive and run smoother or something like that? To make a whole ass arcade machine for a Steam port just seems kind of pointless. I know that some Steam ports are straight up bad compared to console- Sonic Adventure 2 for example is notoriously awful, is it the same for this?

am i wrong or is this the first video sponsor hes ever done? i definitely dont remember ever seeing him do one but i mightve missed it. maybe hes hurting for money.
I would consider Samurai Buyer to be his first sponsor, but also I think he got Lootcrate/1UP Box for free at least once because they were the types to just send their shit to every YouTuber for a "review". He also had a Raycon sponsorship in the Full Force documentary, which I suppose was his first "serious" sponsor. That one sticks out in my mind because of the way he presented it, and I want to autistically sperg out about it now.

It wasn't just "thank you Raycon for sponsoring this video", it was "thank you Raycon for having THE BALLS to sponsor this video", it was the most critical motherfucker of any shitty tech trinket ever telling you that "these things are actually good" (now, ARE they actually good? Doubt it. The appeal was probably that they were wireless earbuds at a time when Apple were the only other guys doing wireless earbuds), he also emphasized that he really had a lot of fun making the documentary, but he needed sponsorships and OUR support if he wanted to continue making more of these, likely because he knew they would be instantly demonetised, and he "really really really wanted to keep making these" "because there's a lot of kooky characters out there in the world that I'm itching to put a camera in front of". I actually considered buying some because I did want to see more documentaries. Bullet dodged :story:

Rewatching that whole segment years later is just sad. Thinking about what could've been :'(

@Jellojerk : Rewatching that whole segment years later is just sad. Thinking about what could've been :'(
Yeah I was thinking about this earlier. He stopped content cop cause Anisa said no, he stopped the squirrel bullshit cause Anisa made him move to Seattle, and he stopped the docs cause he got BTFO by Sam Hyde.

Now he's stuck doing really shitty craft videos? Just give it up. You're done man no one even likes you anymore, what could have bought you a comfortable life (if he sold creator clash) is now your biggest failure. Just delete the socials and work at a hipster record store in Seattle or something man.

>Dr.Honda tl;dr
  • Idubbbz says the event that pushed him to change to the person he is today was the only fans incident 3 years ago
  • Idubbbz said he had a handful of girlfriends in high school but it didn’t mean anything(NOT JUST “”ONE”” ANISA)
  • Idubbbz wanted his first love/sex to mean something (uh oh)
  • Basically a repeat of Anthony Padilla show but more succinct
  • Idubbbz blames his lack of role models for his incel, Bully behavior
  • “If I had someone just tell me ‘hey that’s wrong’ then things would be different” (bro you were like 23 when you started making videos whaT the fuck, take some accountability u fucking cunt. Admit you thought it was funny, eazy)
  • Brings up how his dad was in prison again and how that could possibly explain his bad behavior (b-but I love my parents)
  • Ugh sorry like, this guy has a HD camera compared to idubbbz’ dog shit one, and his hair and skin look so fucking god awful. Take a shower!! Fucks sake
  • Idubbbz only took online therapy before(betterhelp) and that didn’t help, so he’s just started in person therapy.
  • Idubbbz says when they first started dating, Anisa would cry and he would be annoyed and not understand her
  • Anisa was frustrated with idubbbz schedule because he was a “basement dwelling with off hours” and she felt neglected
  • Idubbbz used to have anger issues and would yell/get heated during arguments
  • Cartnarcs mention - idubbbz explains his reception to his video was half/half. Where people agreed with him and the other half called him a lazybones. Immediately dismisses the people who didn’t agree with him and says they’ve missed the point.(doesn’t elaborate on said point)
  • Idubbbz genuinely hates cartnarcs and double downs that he’s taking advantage of people who aren’t mentally well. Dr.Honda disappointedly, agrees with him
  • Contradicts himself - says that what triggers him about cartnarcs is the way he tells people what to do with authority. Similar to what teachers would do to idubbbz in high school. When idubbbz said he’d be less of a shit person if role models/people in gen would tell him to knock it off. So people told you to stop your edgy behaviors beforehand, and you still did it? But you want to blame them anyways?? Make it make sense
  • Ends with the doc reassuring idubbbz that his fears of being not entertaining aren’t true and his recent content shows that (lol what)
These are the time stamps
  • 6:56 the only fans incident
  • 18:37 Having gfs in high school
  • 24:44 not know accountability
  • 38:27 Role Model
  • 1:05:16 She would cry and I do not react (He is avoided and she has anxiety)
  • 1:07:03 He has angry issues
  • 1:08:31 Dad in prison
  • 1:23:25 Anisa went to Threaphy early into the relationship
  • 1:25:57 muh Muslim representation (she never once show to practice Muslim side and did only fans)
  • 1:30:49 talks about Tana's situation
  • 1:42:18 for cart narcs
  • 1:50:10 getting called a lazy bones

I wish a talented youtuber would troll idubbbz by remaking all of his current videos, but better. Like keep the subject the same, maybe do a few of the shit-tier list videos and definitely (actually try and successfully) make the damn arcade game.
Idubbbz doesn't even put time into his videos anymore, he would have talked mad shit about his own monkey ball video if someone else made it. "Oh just a coat of paint on unsanded wood? No decals? The ball didn't even work, where's the banana joystick? Because sure, when you're making a "passion project" you want it to be a devoid of passion as possible." He would have had a nitpicking extravaganza about the low energy and lack of skill or care.

The world needs a Liquid Idubbbz to set things right.

yes, ian is an actual fucking moron. for somebody who used to develop games, he has a retarded understanding of how game development works

Is it me or does he come off as impatient during the entire process?
Didn't seem like he planned through it properly either and ended up burning money for something half-assed just for content.
if he took his time to research, he would have less fuckups. i mean for fucks sake, he couldn’t even be asked to sandpaper wood. i’ve also noticed he likes turning his brain off (something he admits in the video) while doing tasks like certain power tools. i seriously think anisa has fucked up ian’s thinking so much he just likes to turn his brain off and not think about what’s going on

(which even ian stated himself in the anthony interview)

Wouldn't it make more sense to make a fighting game arcade machine? Considering they did run two fighting events.
cute of you to assume current ian is able to do tongue and cheek humor

He didn't do any of that creative stuff you described because it would chip away at his profits from the sponsorship + YT revenue on the video. Sounds like he cut costs by using a Temu editor for this vid too.
i could see this. in the end, it costed $550. arcade machines cost around 6k+, but you get what you pay for. shit ball controller, uses steam port, and shit woodworking job. i wouldn’t shit on anyone else for doing this but seeing how amazingly retarded ian is makes it better

>Doesn't use a banana shaped joystick like the OG Naomi machine
>Uses the shitty Wii Game instead of GameCube duology, the games people ACTUALLY LIKED

Yeah, I'm thinking you should fucking kill yourself Ian
i’m still laughing that this fucking moron doesn’t know what a raspberry PI is

That would be hilarious, I just know that Anisa and Ian would be chimping out at the liquid Idubbbz to no avail and just end up being annoying as usual in Twitter or their livestreams.

I'm praying to an autistic god (if there's any) so this can happen.

I looked at the channel and noticed that the other Maximum Damage podcast (Dax Flame) hasn't posted in over two months. He consistently got double the views of Anisa/Ian's podcast. He posts occasional vlogs on his main channel.

I assume he's between "seasons" of his show where he talks to furries but it's got to annoy Anisa that he's the only content on THEIR channel that gets an audience.

I think Anisa probably decided he had to go because now it's all about them. We'll see, but I don't think Dax will be back on that channel.

He’s not using just a Steam port, he’s using Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, an awful, AWFUL remake of the first two GameCube titles. The game looks like vomit (see graphics comparison below), the sound design is completely ruined, the voice acting is awful, the announcer is now some annoying gook lady and all the monkeys sound like gookesses doing porn noises instead of like monkeys, the minigames are botched and basically unplayable, the game’s difficulty is nerfed due to extra bananas being spammed everywhere, but most importantly the physics are completely off, which is kind of fucking important when making a difficult physics based platformer.

If I was iCuckkkz I would just set up Dolphin and Super Monkey Ball 2 with a mod that adds the levels from Super Monkey Ball Deluxe.

As for Sonic Adventure 2, that game’s PC port isn’t that bad, it has a few minor issues but unless you’re really looking for them you won’t notice them. You’re probably thinking about the first Sonic Adventure, but that PC port has so much fan support that with a couple of clicks you can get that port in parity with the Dreamcast version.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this but the music in the remake is incredibly generic. You can use the original soundtrack... if you pay SEGA 5 bucks for the DLC.
