Yeah, but these guys were basically frothing at the mouth and they did the whole telling the fans who voted for Trump to stop watching RWBY and all that. Burnie was the only one who had any kind of chill, where his take was basically something along the lines of "I guess you can't always trust the polls" or something like that.
Again, though, that's not particularly unique. I recall a bunch of different entertainment people from Hollywood big wig producers and stars to friggin voice over actresses pretty much all going on Twitter and saying "if you voted for Drumpf you're a Nazi so fuck off!"

So does this mean no more death battle? I know people are sick of powerscaling debates but I liked watching characters fight.
I imagine it's not the end for death battle, death battle didn't end when screwattack shuddered so I figure it's going to be an "aw fuck, here we go again" moment.

They even kicked out Joel because of politics.
Burnie would announce his departure just three months after it was announced they had fired his friend and co founder for wrong think
I think they were looking for a reason because of his politics, and his reaction to Gavin and Meg getting cornered by a loony fan probably gave them the reason. I know Jack was fucking jubilant about it, while putting up a veneer of "look how fucking awful Joel is for saying this, what a dirty fucking conservatard"

Hoping there's a good torrent of all the RVB seasons (yes, even the shitty ones) somewhere soon. My copies of S1-8 are optimised to play on a 6th gen ipod so I've been needing more high def copies.

And as much as I like content preservation, it's going to be funny when most of the efforts to re-upload stuff will be pre-2016 content and the sludge from the past 9 years is gonna be lost to time.

Man it's offically dead. I remember watching Achievement Hunter back in the day, Michael's lets rage stuff, etc.

RWBY was hot garbage.

Rest in Piss, it will not be super missed.

I remember there were rumors that he was fired for bringing a gun to the office or having a mental breakdown, but for all of my digging through public records I couldn't find anything backing those claims.

Realistically I could see things going either way. Yeah RT went super liberal post 2010 and Joel's views likely conflicted with their desire to keep a PC image, but Joel was also just genuinely unhinged and by his own admission had shitty work ethics.

FWIW, he's responded to the company's closure respectfully, which is much better than how some of the staff treated him.

For me it died when Geoffs (ex)wife stopped making those funny comics.
You reawoke some ancient neurons. Griffin and Luke McKay were a surprisingly solid duo. If those two paired up again to do like a standalone graphic novel, I'd back them.

Some people found it mean, but Gavin had been giving Joel shit for years both on social media and on the podcast for not agreeing with his second amendment stance
