lmao

Whatever else you say about Dear Leader, you can't say he doesn't have a sense of humor.

I have less than 100 post on this baby account, I'm much more of a lurker than a poster and other accounts I've had had even slower posting habits. I don't have much time or will to make posts and I already use the watch feature to keep an eye on mostly inactive threads of yesteryear that I have an interest on, and It doesn't work for me for more active threads. I just prefer to manage my limited time on the farms based on whatever info I can gather, and sometimes I prefer to gravitate towards parts of the site where I know at least some people are reading my boring-ass posts.
With my posting speed and quality the total amount of dopamine I could have gotten from this account could be bested by a pack of cigarettes or half a dozen cups of coffee, and I think that at least in my particular case saying that I'd prefer to keep notifications is fair to at least consider without kindly offering me to go to twitter and that punishing users from other's mistakes is not going to help any side on this issue.
I realize that the change is here to stay, and at the end of the day it is a mild inconvenience at worst, but I can't help to feel like a sizable part of the userbase is being lumped with actually damaging retards for what amounts to a difference on perspective about user experience. I'll adapt, I guess.

On an unrelated note, I find that bringing the lawsuit money into this is pretty stupid and petty and I'm afraid it will be brought up everytime Null does anything people don't like.

Well fuck, now that Hitler has loved all my posts, I think I can finally move on from the autismofarms. Maybe now I can find a nice aryan girl to marry and pump out a dozen pure white kids for the ethnostate.

OR I suppose there's always onionfarms. I bet Kengle has all sorts of exciting stickers for me to collect. What a great guy that Kengle is.

Stickers are facebook-tier shit, it can be a lot of fun and and it can let people know what they took away from your post but you shouldn't be chimping out over it one way or the other. On the other hand, this is really fucking funny and so I encourage you all to keep shitting blood out your eyes

Im amenable to nuking stickers entirely, but I do like a notification that isnt exclusively watching threads.
Unfortunately, nuking stickers also vaporizes the highlight function, which is based off engagement, positive or negative. It would be ripping out yet another useful navigation tool in an attempt to correct a perceived user behavior problem.

A lot of people in this thread seem to think that Reddit became the most cancerous tumor on the Internet because of Reddit gold. It didn't. It got that way because the moderation staff yeeted anyone off the platform who wasn't a Funko-pop hoarding faggot and it became a hollowed-out echo-chamber as a result.
I think this is the crux of the issue. If you're browsing 20 threads a day especially threads that may be very active for just one day (a happening, a mass debate, A&N, a brand new thread, a PG post) watched threads becomes a huge amount of work. Notifications allow for a floating cloud of interest to change shape throughout the day.

We're here generating multiple convoluted steps to achieve a scenario that's present in base Xenforo just so that a few obsessives will stop crying? All he'd have to do is as soon as you complain, you lose your sticker abilities (see, do, etc). Implementing this site wide is just an overall decrease. I can't see any upside except causing certain users to be inconvenienced or upset.
I, too, browse a large range of threads, which is something Dear Feeder has wanted to cultivate in the past year or so. I have a lot of watched threads, but I also look around for new threads or different threads in boards where I have already posted in one of the bigger threads. I am not fucking watching a thread I post in once but might come back to if it keeps steam, so I am certainly not going to go digging through potentially pages (depending on my post activity) to find that one small thread I posted in to see how it's doing. I don't sit in A&H like a misery golem and screech about the joos and I don't exclusively sit in the DSP board refreshing the page constantly like I'm praying towards Meccah in the off-chance someone beheads Phyl, but fuck me for navigating the forum in a way Jersh took umbridge with, right?
