This started because I received feedback from multiple users that they prefer to post in fucking retarded DM chains specifically because they don't want negative feedback on their posts. They have been discouraged from using this webforum as a forum because they do not feel safe to post as a result of these incessant notifications and looming persistent scorecard ratings. That is FUCKING STUPID. That means the site is broken and is fundamentally failing to encourage people to use it. It means that the reaction system, which exists to provide feedback on individual posts, is having a chilling effect on the entire site.

So, you listened to the absolute retards who don't use the site properly anyway and made a sitewide decision because some people were scared to have their feelings hurt on a website that makes fun of people for being retarded? That seems pretty fucking gay.

It kind of reminds of the matter of full images and thumbnails images situation. You handled the situation pretty well, giving a good detailed explanation on the necessity of doing so and how to do so, real retard proof. Because of that, I cant speak about everyone, I follow said instructions everyday since I care about the site, even in minor things like that.

I just think you are jumping the gun a little bit and I really think the site as a community was tighter than ever. Yeah, I dont have your pair of eyes, I cant see all of the BS but there was just this good feeling when showed the clown world trannies that they cant tell us what to do.

There are morons that care way too much about stickers and you know what? Make a thread mocking them cuz they sure as fuck deserve it for causing problems over irrelevant shit. The mongoloids sure leave a bad impression but I assure you that they are still a minority since in all my years in this site, I have met some real level headed people who dont give a shit if you give them bad or good stickers. The real issue was just the notifications was something many have gotten used to over the years. This really feels like its fixing something that doesnt need fixing.

Im in no way telling you how to run your site but Im giving a honest opinion as a 5 years user that there are many who will be pissed not only at the decision but just how sudden it was, without any sort of warning or anything. Communication and community is key in today's environment and it all felt a little bit harsh and hasty.

Would it be possible to add something similar to alerts that has a list of our most recent like 5 threads we visited? As I mentioned it’s nice to have a widget that doesn’t require a page load and it would allow users to quickly access threads they are currently engaging with? Would be a good potential replacement from navigating through alerts. Don’t need the actual alert, just something that gives relatively quick navigation to current most engaged threads.
