Ok, this was funny. 20240306_172057.jpg

Removing an already optional feature that a significant portion of users finds useful for navigation is probably the most retarded thing I can imagine a forum owner doing.
This is the most retarded thing you can think of a forum owner doing? This? Motherfucker is this your first day on the internet? You care way too much about fucking stickers sped. Nigga just use the watch feature you don't have to refresh every thread every time a new post comes in. Keep up with the interesting ones you want to through notifications and sometimes when you have some free time catch up on the slow threads. It's not that hard if you don't have a subhuman IQ

But also, good users know when getting negrated is hilarious, and bad users are going to have an unhealthy relationship with internet stickers because they are nigger cattle. I have a feeling the users who complain about stickers are in AH, one of the political sperging threads, or general one thread obsessives who are full on brain rotted.
I don't even understand why people view that shit as negvotes. It's just a way to categorize posts. Did you say something dumb, you get a trashcan, are you mad, tophat, rambling schizo tier shit, moon. Something hilarious or awesome, little medal thing. Everybody says dumb shit sometimes, everybody gets mad, so what if you said some dumb shit and you get a bunch of trashcans? Maybe look back at what you said, realize you were probably being dumb and move on.

just enable reaction stickers only in the gay retard forums (politics and news) since those are the people who get the most angry about having their posts rated autistic
Your post is the first time I've ever seen Ooperator give someone a reaction of any kind. I've quite literally never seen that before. Congratulations, friend.

I’m lazy and don’t want to hunt down my post getting disagreed with, called dumb, or given a MATI sticker. Much easier put that persons name in the big book of grudges with notifications.

No, they are not.
Probably the biggest issue I had with stickers is that if a post I made got a lot of reactions, whenever I clicked on my Alerts page all I would see is a bunch of icons in response to something I said and it is kind of a pain to have to siphon thru the reactions just to get to what I clicked on Alerts for in the first place, updates to threads I was following.

Thanks for fixing that.

Or if people really want to see their heckinrino reacts, all they have to do is go under reactions received, and they can get all their precious puzzle piece stickers. This whole thing really isn't a big deal on a website we use for free.

No, I removed it specifically because I've realized that not only have many, many users apparently trained their brains to use a forum specific way that is counter-intuitive to how forums are supposed to work, but you're also making posting decisions based on that feedback.

This started because I received feedback from multiple users that they prefer to post in fucking retarded DM chains specifically because they don't want negative feedback on their posts. They have been discouraged from using this webforum as a forum because they do not feel safe to post as a result of these incessant notifications and looming persistent scorecard ratings. That is FUCKING STUPID. That means the site is broken and is fundamentally failing to encourage people to use it. It means that the reaction system, which exists to provide feedback on individual posts, is having a chilling effect on the entire site.

I am not undoing this. I am observing genuine psychological damage inflicted on people.
If people on the site aren't posting because they're going to receive a neg rating then maybe they shouldn't be posting it all as they don't seem to be well in the head.

The thing is I only follow Interesting topics I am more engaged with. I am not willing to watch multiple threads for a few replies.

If I would follow everywhere I would reply, I would have my thread list bloated.

Yes, they were. They served that exact purpose and then some and the majority of users for this forum, judging by this poll are agreeing with their efficacy. Do you have an argument against that?
I don't think he cares right now. He's made his decision and won't change it until he decides to. With that said, I trust Null will come around and find a compromise that works for everyone.

A reasonable compromise for all of you to hate and hate me for suggesting it:
- All stickers set to 0 points, Achievement trophy being the only exception. Alternatively disable only positive\negative points - it was very entertaining when A&H had only neutral and positive stickers.
- Re-enable sticker notifications but make them turned off by default, like e-mail notifications from DM chains. If some users love them so much, they can manually turn them on in their profile settings.
