But also, good users know when getting negrated is hilarious, and bad users are going to have an unhealthy relationship with internet stickers because they are nigger cattle. I remember when I first started posting years ago back in 2023. I made a Celeste reference to a troon who died in a climbing accident in Iceland.
I got a lot of winner stickers. As Reddit as it is, I did feel good about it for a couple of minutes.

With that in mind, maybe restrict notifications to Winner and Autistic only? People should only know if their posts are really appreciated or despised. A simple like/dislike or agree/disagree is thrown around constantly.
Also, add a retarded niggerfaggot sticker. Autistic puzzle piece just isn't conveying my contempt for some shit I see on this site.

That is ACTUALLY a design flaw. All stickers are equal. The machine in charge of highlights can't tell if the post is top kek or ass.

I have them turned off but I prefer that those who care about reactions find out how I reacted to their posts (both positive and negative reactions). Some people should be encouraged and some people should be discouraged.

I don't have an emotional attachment to the stickers that seems weird. I do however like knowing peoples views on my posts. You might say that's the same thing but it's really not. I would be more than happy if comments on someones post was only viewable by the commenter in question.

This use case is what those notifications are for. I expected most people would simply turn them off once they became more active. But instead, it seems to train people to do certain things to acquire the most notifications, which is the opposite of what you want.

Fair enough. That's a problem I've noticed. I just think is a case of throwing the baby out with the bathwater for some users but I can't think of any quick solution. There's other problems with how big the site is and how difficult is to get out of a posting comfort zone without resorting to some carrot-and-stick incentives in the form of colorful stickers and blaming it entirely on notifications is gonna rub a lot of people the wrong way.

I'll be perfectly honest I don't give a fat shit about sticker notifications. It's nice to not have to trawl through three hundred fucking notifications just to look for the ones that are actually relevant.
I just think this is a complete nonissue no matter how you look at it. Worrying about the mental health effects of psychic sticker attacks is retarded and so is the dopaministic desire to receive pozrates.
Plus it's really funny when you trashcan somebody and they get really mad, or if somebody starts impotently trashcanning all of your posts because they're assmad.

User safety is always a concern btw. If people didn't think I took their safety seriously they'd not post.

I honestly assumed it was stuff like halals and literally trying to kill you or at the least making rape threats or grooming. Not hiding from internet stickers in a DM Chain. Especially after the stuff that happened in the thunderdome. Twice. In the span of a year.
