There's no better way currently to keep track of threads on a short term basis quickly and easily without them. I don't give a fuck about all the other gaynigger options people keep kindly offering. Those options take longer. That shit is user hostile and in this case it's because some faggots cried because stickers made them hide in dms whether you are personally affected by it or not it's an absolutely retarded thing to do for an absolutely retarded reason.

It's really simple, retard: people enjoyed the UX a certain way -> faggots getting negrated got upset over an aspect of that UX -> @Null removes feature of UX -> Unrelated parties that used that part of the UX are annoyed a feature they were using got removed, and are even more annoyed they're being gaslight into thinking the reason they liked that feature isn't actually why they liked it, they really just want reddit karma.

I just wanna see the sticker boops in my notifications but if can’t have that, that’s okay. I’m just happy I got a place to hang out with my frens.

Here’s the thing, I kinda know who my friends are - or build up a picture of what attitudes different users have based on those notifications. I know that sounds lame. But take for example one of the war threads. I have a certain set of opinions and I know exactly the two or three other users who share them, or back me on a point, or disagree on this one without wasting space and detracting from serious discussion.
Comradeship, in a way. For me it is one of the core elements of the site.
