I've been following the Discussion group for a couple of days, and there were a lot of obvious bait threads and trolls and little to no moderation until a couple of hours ago.

I have no clue how Steam forums operate, so which scenario is more possible?

a. Mass reports from external sources "pro-sweetbaby" made Steam go into high alert.
b. People mass reporting the trolls and bait threads caused Steam to get antsy (in essence, the trolls got the group to almost kill itself).
c. Lazy huehues slept too much siesta and ruined everything.

Anyways, excited to live through GamerGate 33 1/3

The whole #notyourshield bullshit was an all-time fumble. In the Steam discussions on the group, I saw somebody bringing up how diverse the community is, so now I'm thinking they are about to step into that particular pitfall again. It's an absolute distraction to spend time trying to shed any accusations of racism, sexism, or whatever the fuck else because these people are actively malicious and they lie. This truly shaping up to be a beat-by-beat remaster of Gamergate, opticscucking and all. Can't wait to see any kind of backlash die out because the redditors are gonna cuck out to the people who openly talk about how they want whitey dead.

The correct individual response to all this nonsense is to not sperg about it and just not buy the games. Money makes decisions in corporate America.
That said, there will, unfortunately, be goobers who - despite all the critique, vitriolic bitterness, and slur-throwing on sites such as Kiwifarms and elsewhere - will still buy the game developed in consultation with Sweet Baby Inc. Because they are consoomerist goobers who either subscribe to the garbage being pumped out or they just do not care. Often, it is the latter.

This must be said: there will always be slop served in the entertainment media sphere. Goobers will gobble it up. There's no way to avoid knowing about the slop. But you can choose to not pay for it or choose to not subsidize it via other products and live service titles.

That's what the pure purpose of the steam group is, letting the consumer know about the involvement of a particular consulting group. Yelling into echo chambers won't change marketing or contracting for consultation.
tl;dr Don't repeat the same mistakes of Sneedergate. Yelling into a microphone for griftbux on YouTube isn't going to influence any company. Lost revenues will.
Boycotts will. If you're passionate about this - be smart, be organized, and don't give the contracting companies your money on any service or game they publish.
You could use the money you saved on those live service battle passes on a 12-pack of beer, or, even better, stocks!
Just remember bros, please drink responsibly :)

Unsuprisingly, al these companies are based in either Canada or San Francisco and seem to survive mostly off of grant money from the Canadian and American Governments or donations.

I did find this list of organisations on one of their websites with a lot of these grifting companies on it, making it easy to see just how far the rot goes.

I must have seen a different gamergate to the posters here because it wasn't funny, it ruined video gaming.

I don't care about some useless cumbucket whore making video games or high-school level playground clique slapfights. I just want to play good fucking video games.

Gamergate ruined games, removed dudebros, led companies to directly back faggots, troons and DEI. They banned Jessica Negri, removed booth-babes and outright killed E3. Neogaf went mental and banned everyone, no gaming forums since GG have been allowed to have their own opinion.

The whole fucking thing was a psy-op to disrupt a group of largely white, intelligent males from becoming too large of a cohesive force.

If this is the case, then current gaming as a whole needs to be wiped out and start anew. I haven't seen Gaijin Entertainment's name in these websites but given that Valve was in Sweet Baby's portfolio, I'm not too optimistic on my chances.
