Sony hate thread

Hahahaha, I went to go look up PS5s because I couldn't remember if Spider-Man 2 was a pack-in or not, and right now at Best Buy, the PS5 that comes with it is actually $50 cheaper than the one that comes with nothing at all.

I can't remember any other instances where a bundled game actually reduces the value of a console.
Why are you acting like that doesnt decrease its value? It comes with Spiderman 2. You are getting a garbage game with the console. That alone should reduce the value to no higher than 10$.

Huh, what was changed?
Bluepoint destroyed the finely crafted artstyle of the game, just as bad as demon's souls in a way. The game uses specific use of colour with washed out harsh lighting and heavy bloom in the sky, the forbidden lands are supposed to be abandoned and forbidden like they are named. The remaster/remake/whatever removes all the bloom, the skybox no longer has the harsh overbearing white light, everything is more saturated and has a green filter overtop everything and the forbidden lands are full of lush foliage and grass, and this isn't getting in to the actual artstyle change on Wander or the environment. At the very least the soundtrack isn't butchered like demon's souls since they got the original composer back instead of bloodbornifying it.

Nah, I played this four years ago when it came out. Finished it twice. Had a great time.

A four year old game coming to peecee doesn't affect much.
It's one less reason to give a shit about PS:

I just want to play shadow of the colossus/ghost of tsushima without having to shell out a grand to get a PlayStation.

Famitsu Sales: Week 9, 2024 (Feb 26 - Mar 03)
01./00. [PS5] Final Fantasy VII Rebirth <RPG> (Square Enix) {2024.02.29} (¥8.980) - 262.656 / NEW
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has the record of the lowest-selling mainline FF title in Japan, even lower than the previous Final Fantasy 16 which scored 336,027 retail copies on first week. The original FF7 remake (on PS4) initially opened at 702,853 copies in 2020.

Worth to mention that Sony Interactive Entertainment screwed up the manufacturing process of the FF7 Rebirth physicals for Japan and Asia, by mislabeling the "install" and "play" discs.

I'm interested to see how some of these Sony titles do on PC.

Many of sony's titles have glowing praise for them because

A: Sony fans tend to be low information, easily impressed

B: Many Sony titles have no real competition on PS itself.

When on a PC, I can't imagine these titles will do so well when they're able to be compared to everything else.

On a somewhat laughable note, I've seen a Lot of GT fans say they wish GT would come to PC to "show the big sim racing games who's boss" which is incredibly stupid and funny because GT would be torn to pieces on a PC

"Final Fantasy has always been one of the primary franchise pillars on PlayStation consoles," Svensson explained, adding that Square Enix is "one of the best in the business at pushing beyond their fans' lofty expectations and showing off what can be done with PlayStation hardware."

A new Final Fantasy VII game

Selling poorly

In Japan

That has got to bode poorly for the future of both Square Enix and PlayStation. Maybe they shouldn't have waited until their audience was geriatric to do something new with Final Fantasy VII. Maybe they shouldn't keep it exclusive to a console relatively few own. Maybe they should have actually remade Final Fantasy VII rather than do a weird reboot and called it a remake.
